Hotel Sand — Restaurant in Jeju

TLDR: Service was bad so we just left without buying anything (thus the 2 star rating giving them the benefit of the doubt about food and drink quality).

Our group of 4 went in and we decided to order 3 drinks and 1 cake (we didn’t notice there was a one drink per person requirement at this point). I was hoping they would be lenient as the cake was double the price of their average drinks, but I understood that they may not allow this per their policy.

Unfortunately, the employee at the register taking our order was just very passive aggressive and had a condescending tone, giving off a “if you don’t have the money then leave” type of vibe. We would have been fine paying a little extra for a drink because we came here for the atmosphere and ocean views, but the employee kinda ruined the mood. So we decided to just leave and maybe come another time. The total was already going to surpass 50,000 won which is not a small amount for some drinks and a dessert so we weren’t hesitant to leave if their service was gonna be bad throughout.

A stunning cafe that offers breathtaking views of the Jeju's natural beauty. Situated right by the Hyeopjae Beach, the cafe features a modern, beach-inspired design with beach parasol and sofas at outdoor seatings, as well as large windows that provide panoramic vistas of the sparkling blue water.

So pissed at this place, we ordered coffee after we had a heavy lunch and the lady that work on this cafe told us they only allowed us 1hr to stay to have our coffee, all the time we were there my kids went to the beach playing. After an hour, my husband brought the kids to wash their feet in the shower area, so I just waited for them same table where we stay. The bags of the kids are with them. Then the waiter told me 1hr is free and ask me to pay 20,000 won for the extra time because I just waited for my kids to go to the shower area to clean their feet! How pathetic! Not good business for tourist like us just trying to enjoy our stay and this place has a stupid rules like this.
