My first time in Korea, and Jeju Island. What a magical place! One of the things Jeju is known for is their black pork dishes, and Don Bellong is an exceptional experience with their charcoal grill. You really can’t go wrong with any of the meat cuts, but I recommend the Special Cut if it’s your first time. What’s great is that they cook the meat table side to perfection and serve it with various sauces (or just eating it without any additional sauce works as it is tender and cooked with the right amount of char). The banchan was all vegetables and they were nice. It also came with a salad. They helped us cook the pork. The pork shoulder was cooked so nicely that it was just soft and nearly melt in the mouth. The pork belly was also delicious. We also could not resist trying the marinated pork cheeks.
The other dishes that we tried were the cold noodles and the steam eggs. They also had beer on tap which we enjoyed. The pork was the one that was outstanding. Come here...
