We are very glad we went to visit this museum. The information and exibitions are so beautifully and wonderfully presented with great details.
It provided a lot of very interesting information and images of the history of Seoul, not just the history of the waterways.
The art animations are so subtle but magnificent. And the layout of the building is very nicely done.
This was such a great place to visit before we went across the road (to the small display building on the stream side) and then started our walk along the stream. A highlight of our visit to Seoul.
Congratulations and thank you to the people that created this museum! The restoration of the waterways is a great thing that the city has done to help balance development and the quality of life and environment for the...
Read moreGreat museum for learning about the history of central Seoul and the redevelopment of Cheonggyecheon stream. Fairly small but many multimedia and interactive displays. Most of the information is given in English as well as Korean and there are leaflets available in various languages. You need to go up the escalator outside the building and then enter. You start at an upper floor and work your way down to the ground floor. My favourite part was a room with projections on each wall, as well the floor showing life during the Joseon period at one bridge along the river. This is actually past the exit doors at the end of the main exhibition. Theres a reception desk on your right and the exit on your left but its worth it to keep going to the room at the end past the toilets to see...

And yet it wasn't too small either. Also there is modern history with photographs, that you see the change over time. It was very impressive in several ways. It is right next to the Cheongyecheon, so you can easily walk to some of the photographic locations. I particularly liked the ariel photograph of Seoul, so you could see where you were compared to where the Cheongyecheon is. Also the life sized and minutiae village were...
