Seoul Forest Park, located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea, is a sprawling urban oasis that offers a refreshing escape from the bustling city. Spanning over 1.16 million square meters, this expansive park is a haven for nature lovers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Seoul Forest Park is designed to harmoniously blend natural landscapes with modern amenities, creating a serene and enjoyable environment for visitors of all ages. The park features four distinct zones: the Culture & Art Park, the Ecological Forest, the Nature Experiencing Study Field, and the Han River Waterside Park.

The Culture & Art Park is a cultural hub within the park, hosting a variety of art exhibitions, installations, and performances throughout the year. It also features unique sculptures, pavilions, and architectural structures that add a touch of artistic elegance to the surroundings.

The Ecological Forest is a lush green space that aims to preserve and showcase the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Visitors can explore walking trails, wooden boardwalks, and meandering paths that wind through a forested landscape. The forest is home to numerous species of trees, plants, and wildlife, providing a tranquil and immersive experience in nature.

The Nature Experiencing Study Field offers educational opportunities for visitors to learn about the environment and engage in hands-on activities. It includes areas dedicated to ecological exploration, gardening, and environmental education programs, promoting awareness and sustainability.

The Han River Waterside Park is a popular spot for relaxation and recreational activities. With its picturesque views of the Han River, visitors can enjoy picnicking, cycling, or simply strolling along the riverside promenade. The park also offers rental services for bicycles, boats, and even inline skates, providing ample opportunities for outdoor fun.

Seoul Forest Park's amenities go beyond its natural beauty. It boasts modern facilities such as cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores, ensuring visitors have access to food and refreshments during their visit. The park also hosts a variety of events and festivals, including music concerts, film screenings, and seasonal celebrations, adding vibrancy and entertainment throughout the year.

Seoul Forest Park not only provides a recreational space but also serves as an important ecological and cultural landmark within the city. It offers respite from the urban hustle and bustle, allowing visitors to reconnect with nature, rejuvenate their spirits, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.

Whether it's enjoying a leisurely stroll, having a picnic with loved ones, or immersing oneself in cultural and educational experiences, Seoul Forest Park offers a diverse range of activities for everyone. It stands as a testament to Seoul's commitment to green spaces and sustainable urban development, creating a harmonious balance between the modern cityscape and the...

We came from walking around Seongsu-dong when I saw on the map that Seoul Forest Park was just nearby. We didn’t really have plans that day so walking around was a nice way to spend the morning to see Seoul. I was already enjoying the morning with the warmth of the sun and the chilly weather in autumn. However, seeing the foliage of the Seoul Forest Park, which was in the middle of the city blew me away.

The forest was quite huge, we walked some more inside but didn’t get to see the entire area as it was past lunch and we decided to eat somewhere else. There were many families with small children, people having photoshoots, old people, and groups of students of all ages in the park, too. Basically everyone was enjoying the park.

There were sufficient signages and maps strategically located around the park. It was easy for me to find the restroom and the exit, too.

I recommend spending at least half a day here and go on a picnic. after reading the other reviews and I will certainly come back during spring this time to see the cherry blossoms. If you don’t have enough time to go to Nami Island to see the autumn foliage, this park is just as beautiful. Maybe even...

During the unusually hot autumn of 2024 in Seoul, stepping into Seoul Forest Park was a refreshing escape. The temperature dropped noticeably under the dense tree canopy, offering a much-needed break from the heat. One of the park's highlights was the extensive selection of outdoor fitness equipment. There was such a wide variety that it felt like an open-air gym. I had the chance to chat with an elderly local who was clearly proud of the facilities, and I could see why – it’s rare to find such comprehensive fitness options in a public park.

Seoul Forest Park is vast, stretching all the way to the Han River. Along the way, I stumbled upon a group of deer, which added a unique charm to the park experience. These little surprises really make the park stand out from others.

Additionally, the park offers a range of cozy cafes and restaurants, making it easy to take a relaxing break or grab a bite to eat while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. Whether you're looking for exercise, wildlife, or a quiet spot to unwind, Seoul Forest Park has it all. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of nature and leisure in the heart...

Seoul Forest Park is a refreshing escape within the city, blending nature, art, and community in a way that feels distinctly Seoul. Sprawling across an impressive area, it’s a park where you can find something for everyone—open spaces for picnics, trails for walks or bike rides, art installations, deer to feed, and playgrounds full of life. The park’s design reflects a beautiful balance between urban development and natural preservation. Tall trees line the paths, creating shaded nooks that invite you to sit, read, or simply breathe. In spring, the cherry blossoms transform it into a pink dreamscape, while autumn drapes it in rich, warm colors. Every season offers a new perspective. A true highlight is the ecological forest, where you can see deer grazing—a surprising sight in the middle of a bustling metropolis. The diverse gardens, like the butterfly and flower gardens, draw you into their quiet beauty, while the art installations and community events add a layer of cultural vibrance. Seoul Forest Park isn’t just a place to visit; it’s a place to reconnect with nature, art, and even a piece of yourself.

I honestly couldn’t believe that such a big and pristine forest exists right in the middle of a busy city like Seoul. It’s like stepping into a whole different world — super peaceful, clean, and just really refreshing. One of the coolest surprises? There are deer here! You can actually see and feed them, which makes it extra fun, especially if you’re with kids. The whole place is really well-maintained too — clean paths, trimmed lawns, and everything feels cared for. There’s a convenience store inside (huge plus!), so you can grab drinks or snacks without leaving the park. There’s also a playground for the little ones and a nice fountain area that’s perfect for relaxing or taking cute photos. The variety of flowers, plants, and trees is amazing — it’s like a mini botanical garden and forest rolled into one. Every corner feels like it has something new to see. Seoul Forest is the kind of place you can go for a chill walk, a picnic, or just to escape the city noise for a bit. Highly recommend it if you need a breather while in Seoul!
