Rating this place a 5 stars only would be a wild understatement. My husband is a very, very hard person to please when it comes to everything, including food, but the sando’s here, and pretty much everything on the menu, blew the both of us away.
We’re here in South Korea for our honeymoon, and this by far has been our favourite place to eat at, and now, one of our favourites ever, and we’ve travelled a fair bit around the world.
The sando’s were perfectly cooked, the sauces and hints of chilli throughout the fries, were spectacular. So spectacular we came back twice in the same day. My personal favourite was the vodka sando that had an amazing sweetness to the sauce, on par with some of the top vodka pasta’s we’ve had at Italian restaurants in Australia.
The fries were AMAZING, they look like regular French fries, but they pack a punch, perfectly crispy and perfectly seasoned. One of the best French fries we’ve ever tasted.
The owner is so wonderful, he went above and beyond with everything. He took the time to chat to us, tell us his story, and sent a dozen recommendations from a local of things to do, eat, and see in South Korea.
The interiors and atmosphere are amazing, and has so much photo ops, from reflective steel on the ceiling to the Spotify playlist you can scan and keep yourself. He’s put so much effort into making the restaurant not only look good, but pretty much everything on the menu, taste darn good, too.
As a disclaimer, we weren’t incentivised to post this review at all, as a few places in South Korea give free meals/ discounts for reviews, but this wasn’t the case here. We genuinely loved this place, and would come back in a heartbeat if we had the privilege to visit South Korea again.
Thank you for everything, Kevin! Visiting your restaurant has been such a highlight on our honeymoon! Wishing you the best, love Melissa...

Tucked away in Seongsu, this sando shop is built for the Western palate—think bold, savory flavor profiles you’d find back home in the States, layered into juicy katsu sandos. And the bread? Don’t even get me started.
They use a specially selected ciabatta that’s soft, bouncy, and easy to bite into—none of that sharp, hard crust that hurts the roof of your mouth. The owner, Kevin, was super intentional about that, and it makes such a difference. Every bite was delicious.
Kevin’s a New Yorker who clearly knows his flavors—but he also happens to be one of the funniest, most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. By the end of the meal, we were hyping him up to start his own stand-up gig.
And the interior? Total New York vibes. Sleek stainless steel, glass accents, and cool details everywhere you look. There’s even a photo booth where you can print your own photos in different styles—perfect for a hangout with friends. Food and fun? Say less.
Even the bathroom is an experience—Jo Malone soap, Dyson hand dryer, and wild trippy mirrors that make you stop and stare.
Oh—and the music? Fire. Thoughtfully curated playlists playing on quality speakers, which just ties the whole vibe together.
This place is full of little details that show how much care went into it. It’s a hidden gem in Seongsu, and I’m already planning my next...
Read moreWe had already eaten lunch and were visiting Seoul Forest for the first time. We were looking for a coffee shop to rest our legs and saw to our surprise a sandwich spot that wasn't egg toast and was using a proper ciabatta bread. We figured it wouldn't hurt to check it out and it was definitely a hidden gem.
Aesthetics were off the chart and the interior design was one of the best we'd seen on our vacation thus far.
The croquettes were light and crispy with a slight curry flavour and the puree added a nice balance to the melted cheese on top.
The OG sando was great, loved the fatty pork cutlet used. Generally cutlets in Asia are really lean, under seasoned for my pallete and boring. This had a nice ratio of fat and lean meat with each bite.
But what really impressed us was the owner, Kevin. We chatted for almost 30 minutes about the restaurant game and the ups and downs of being an owner operater. Having skin in the game myself, I really admire his dedication and commitment to the experience he wants to provide for his shop.
Keep up the hard work and wish you all the success in Korea 👊
P.S. Kevin gave his full google map of Seoul for spots to...
