This indoor zoo is a hidden gem that I hadn’t come across in my trip research, making it a delightful surprise. I visited using the Discover Seoul Pass, and getting there was a breeze—it’s conveniently located just a block away from the nearest subway station, nestled within a department store. The ticket office is one floor below the zoo entrance, and you also have the option to purchase a small packets of food, which are used for feeding a variety of animals during your visit.
The zoo itself offers a unique and interactive experience. Some animals, like ducks and birds, roam freely around the space, creating an immersive atmosphere. Meanwhile, other creatures, such as capybaras and small mammals, are kept behind barriers for their safety and the visitors’. The setup strikes a good balance between accessibility and the animals’ well-being, making it enjoyable for both the animals and the guests.
Children, in particular, will love the opportunity to interact with the animals, whether it’s feeding them or simply observing their behavior up close. The zoo also features special feeding times for certain animals, such as otters, adding an educational and entertaining touch to the experience.
Overall, this indoor zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination. Its convenient location, interactive features, and well-maintained environment make it a worthwhile stop, especially if you’re traveling with kids. It’s a lesser-known attraction, but one that leaves a...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Zoolung Zoolung, I was captivated by the thoughtful design. The space is expertly laid out with distinct zones for different animals with feeding instructions, and it never feels cramped. There are interactive booths everywhere, and the entire facility is surprisingly clean and spacious. The animal are as diverse, from the colorful toucans and leisurely sloths to gentle turtles and fluffy bunnies, there's something to enchant everyone.
What truly sets Zoolung Zoolung apart is the astounding proximity you can achieve with these creatures with the feeding areas. This experience is incredibly intimate. It feels less like interactiving with animals from afar and more like stepping directly into their world. The staff deserve a special mention too; they were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to share intriguing facts about each species and their unique behaviors. To me, this is an absolute must-visit. It's a breath of fresh air and a truly...
Read moreWent as part of the Klook Seoul Pass, as the weather wasn’t so nice and we had nothing to do. It was somewhat fun at first… until you realize how crammed these animals are in their tiny enclosures. Most of them are overfed and didn’t care about the treats. They appeared either low energy or pretty restless. No staff was present to monitor how people interact with the animals - we’ve seen kids hitting animals with the feeding poles (a bowl attached to a pole for you to reach the animals) and nobody said anything. Kinda dystopian how all these animals are indoors, crammed, away from real plants/rocks/sunlight (most of them don’t even have a window), no real soil to dig in, with very limited stimulation and space to move about, just for the “entertainment” of humans.
(Read the details: all the good reviews are about how fun it was for themselves. At the expense of...
