Din Tai Fung Yeongdeungpo Times Square — Restaurant in Seoul

This location might as well be the equivalent of Taco Bell to Mexican food. Specifically: egg rice excessively oily. Sliced cucumbers were just shy of 3.81 cm thick - a genuine choking hazard , and when I inquired about ordering a Dan Dan the waitress went Surly on me real quick by barking “ sold out “. Too add insult to injury she then brought me tea that was Luke warm at best. I asked if she might be able to bring me HOT tea, too which she in turn brought me an even COLDER tea. This blatant passive aggressive hostility was cue to leave but not for asking another sever for HOT tea. Mediocre food, exuberant prices. A real insult to the brand! Not the greatest. The service was a let down compared to the phenomenal experience I had at the Los Angeles location (granted I do not speak Korean so this had to factor into things). Food was also lesser than my experience in LA, however it was still very good. Check in was a bit tough as it asked for Kakao Talk number and I did not have one. Hostess accommodated by manually entering me to the queue....

Easily the worst Din Tai Fung I have ever been to. While the waitstaff were nice, the food quality and flavors were off-putting to say the least. We wish we never went here. Xiaolongbao were the only acceptable items on the menu, delicate but nothing to write home about. Please, go elsewhere unless you are looking to get disappointed.
