Overall a great market for some genuine Korean food at a decent price. There is a lot of variety and countless shops to choose from. That said, there are some things to look out for. First, a lot of the shops have a propensity to precook their food then reheat it when you purchase it, or not at all. It's a good idea to insist on the freshly made ones and definitely do not buy anything that's turned stone cold or looks like it sat around all day. The fried foods are a prime example of this. Second, if you are adventurous then you should venture into a seafood shop where they have fresh live seafood on display out front. The best ones are in the basement of a building, you'll know by walking down some stairs past the restrooms. There's a huge sprawling area filled with Koreans eating fresh seafood and sitting at low tables. To eat here, you'll have to negotiate the price of some amount of seafood you'll pick from the tanks. I repeat, you must negotiate the price of the seafood lower and don't ever let them lead you to believe the free "service" food they give you is actually worth...

I bought a Manseok chicken which looked like a small factory (later on, me and my brother had severe stomachache. Meaning, their oil quality is really bad) ordered and received the chicken less than a minute.
A seafood fries were fresh and delicious if I didn't have to wait for 20 minutes after payment.....
I took my dogs and business owners seemed really nice to pets. But you can't let them walk on the aisles but carrying them in your arms. Otherwise people will keep stepping on your dog's paw and give him or her a traumatic...

[Gangwon-do Sokcho Trip #2] Buying food and snacks
Address: 12, Jungang-ro 147beon-gil, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do There may be places that start business at 8 a.m. or close early hours, and many stores that are not open on Sundays Parking: Sokcho Tourism and Fisheries Market Public Parking Lot 300 won within 30 minutes, 200 won every 10 minutes over 30 minutes, up to 6,000 won per day (parking fee is cheap)
I stopped by to buy food and snacks to eat at the resort
The car is parked in the public parking lot opposite the market, and when you cross the crosswalk, it is Sokcho Tourism Market. It's a place where so many people visit, so it's not easy to find a seat from the parking lot, and there are many places that line up to buy.
Maybe that's why most things are expensive There is a saying that Sokcho is the second most expensive city.
I bought 2 boxes of central chicken gangjeong (usually, fried), squid sundae, 2 boxes of fried shrimp, 1 box of baby crab, Sikhye, potato pancake, and Bongpo Muguri (two abalone seafood sashimi, three abalone porridge).
I think Manseok Dakgangjeong is more famous, but the locals always choose Jungang Dakgangjeong
