Agaete's natural pools – where tranquility meets the symphony of screeching seagulls and the triumphant shouts of self-proclaimed beach overlords. Forget the soothing lull of ocean waves; here, the decibel level rivals a rock concert.

It's as if the instruction manual for beach etiquette got lost in translation, and everyone decided that volume control was just an ancient myth. You'd think they handed out megaphones at the entrance. "Hey, nature, mind if we crank up the human volume to 11?"

As I attempted to commune with the serenity of the tide, it was like sharing the water with a cast of wannabe movie stars auditioning for a remake of "Baywatch: The Boisterous Edition." Forget mindfulness; these beachgoers were on a mission to break the sound barrier.

But fear not, dear reader, for amidst the cacophony, I found solace in the fact that I wasn't alone in my quest for the elusive beach whisperers. Perhaps one day, they'll introduce a "Silent Sunbather Award" for those of us who dare to dream of a beach day without the auditory onslaught of amateur ocean narrators.

So, pack your earplugs, a sense of humor, and a splash of irony, and dive into Agaete's natural pools. It's a unique experience where the volume knob goes up, and the self-awareness goes, well, who...

The best public natural swimming pool on the entire island. We had a wonderful time here; it is safely constructed, yet you still feel like you are swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a small tunnel under the rocks that leads to another pool. As you swim peacefully, you will see all kinds of small colorful fish around you. There are also red crabs. It can be quite windy by the ocean, and the route there is well marked on Google Maps. You have to follow the road from the roundabout as directed, but the road is full of rocks and potholes. So drive carefully. Parking is easy, and the trip is...

A beautiful natural swimming pool in Agaete, set against volcanic rocks with clear, calm water. It’s a perfect spot to swim, relax, and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery. The pool is well-maintained and offers a peaceful alternative to the more crowded beaches. There are no major facilities here, but it’s an ideal place to escape the hustle. The surrounding area is also perfect for a walk, and you’ll often find locals taking a dip. Not great for small children due to the rocky areas, but for adults or anyone wanting to enjoy a quieter, more natural swimming experience, it’s...
