Bici Café - Islas Canarias — Restaurant in Agaete

I had a wonderful affogato here with some nice views of the sea. There is shade too for those who need or want it.

When we were there they had a choice between two different kinds of beans, a Brazilian bean that was more chocolatey, and a Honduran bean that was stronger. I choose the Brazilian for my affogato, which was a brilliant choice. All the flavor of coffee without that violent bitterness.

They offer an extensive coffee menu, some fruit juices, 4 kinds of Jarritos sodas, and a small assortiment of teas. They also had a plethora of home made baked goods. I believe there was a chocolate, apple, cheese, and carrot cake. And then two kinds of banana bread, and I may have noticed a kind of chocolate granola bar(?) as well.

The owner was very friendly without being too over burdensome. Which was lovely.

I marked the place as dine in purely because there are three Picnic tables to sit at. I'm sure though you could probably do take away, but it is a delightful little stall to have a coffee...

We stumbled upon this little gem when we visited Puerto de las Nieves last week. The atmosphere of the place felt so warm and welcoming that we immediately wanted to stop for a coffee and enjoy the ocean view. Since we were too early and Bici café hadn't opened yet, the owner Derya recommended us to take a stroll over to the rock pools nearby. We were so glad we did! That place was amazing and we got to experience it while it was not yet too crowded. Once we got back Bici café was open, fully decorated (when we had thought it was already warm and welcoming before, it had now transformed into a little oasis ;-)) and we got to enjoy the wonderfully homemade cakes and coffee. Everything tasted delicious and one could immediately feel Derya's passion for his job and for the quality of his products. We can only highly recommend this place and will definitely come back if we visit the island...
