I really don't understand the very positive reviews - maybe we were just unlucky? No it is not a horrible place - but not fantastic either. We got factory made bread in our bread basket!! (really!) I have NEVER experienced that in a restaurant mentioned by Michelin. It was horrible stale and bland. My husbands food was quite good (entrecote) and my daughters spaghetti bolognese was fine. But my mom and I got some paella and our servings were supersmall (smaller than my daughters meal). It was obvious that you would have to order starters and deserts too to get full, but that's both rather pricy but also rather inconvinient when travelling with small children (this is supposed to be a family friendly restaurant). We were dissapointed to pay so much for so little - the most expensive meal on our trip but we had to go home and make chease sandwiches afterwards. Read moreCheeky pricing. I went for dinner as I know the Gastronou group and have been to Piripi a couple of times: they own both places. Good food, good service BUT - the bill for one of the dishes was twice the price on the menu. I wrote to the group email and was told that fish is sold by weight - ok but we've never been advised it'd be twice the weight (and the price) from the menu. In Piripi, the price is per kilo and that's what you expect (or the menu says segun peso - by weight) Misleading. The group person has not replied to this yet. Read moreLa verdad q mi experiencia no ha sido lo que esperaba, contando q se trata de un sitio q cuenta con un gran respaldo tras de sí. Ha sido un poco decepcionante, pero mejorable, espero. Hemos pedido una variedad considerable de platos, tanto entrantes como segundos. El ceviche pintaba bien, pero los trozos de pescado muy grandes, con lo que se perdía el macerado, no era tan agradable en boca y quedaba muy plano de sabor, sin contraste q aportara frescor, no reseñable El pulpo, la elaboración de la materia prima bien, pero la salsa faltaba chispa, no aportaba. El denton con salsa de cava y almejas nos lo han servido frío, a lo mejor el chef lo pensó así, pero para el comensal no nos ha funcionado, lo hemos probado varios comensales de la mesa y el pescado quedaba crudo de más, no tan agradable en boca. El cochinillo no estaba lo crujiente q se esperaba, un porción si y la otra no, por lo que unido a la grasa del mismo.....contando con tan buena materia prima es un punto importante a tener en cuenta para revisar en un plato emblemático en otros locales del grupo. Y os podría también hacer reseña del steak tartar, pero creo q ya os he comentado bastante, plano para ser un plato estrella de carne. Eso si los postres muy buenos, muy recomendable el flan de turrón. Entenderme, para un restaurante a ese nivel, con la trayectoria del grupo q representa y con esos precios, cuentas con q vas a lo seguro.
