It's a must if you're in cordoba. It should be the second highlight on the top ten for travelers.
Close to the mosque and the city old quarter, just a few step back to a bars and restaurants area where fill you up and get ready.
The building is just amazing, and they have a library full of cinema/history books and documentaries (print and DVD)
They have regularly modern art exhibitios with artists from all around the world.
The sad point is regional people hardly understand the place they have so usually is quite empty and they have to make numbers get the red tape lines with some other performances like "electronic lunch parties"...
They have a few art spaces so if you're lucky you will see some Artist involved in a new process straight there, making, thinking and developing in front of you! which I think is also pretty different than others museums. It is just because it is not a museum but a Cooworking contemporary art space, all in one huge and gorgeous room full spaces, each one best...
Read moreA hidden gem! Why is it not featured on any of the 'top ten things to do in Cordoba'? A stunning building with a world-class selection of exhibits, all beautifully, thoughtfully presented.
Pros: free entry. A warm welcome from the Front of House staff. Bilingual signs in Spanish and English. Free lockers for rucksacks/coats. Walking distance from the city centre. Socially engaged, poignant exhibitions which are deep AND accessible. The curator here deserves an award!
Cons: it needs a gift shop even a small one - I would have happily bought some souvenirs, especially given the free entry. A cafe would also be great, I wanted to stay longer but got hungry - with an on site cafe, I would have taken a snack break and continued exploring.
Recommend at least an hour, 2 hours if you want to see everything.

There are sky lights that flood the rooms with natural light while respecting the desired atmosphere for the exhibition. The rooms were also designed in such a way where they were moving walls that transforms the space to its desired size or shape. I had never seen this before in person and I loved the application.
It loses one star since there was only one exhibition when I there. Shame.
I would recommend the visit purely to see the building. Hopefully they can fill it with more exhibitions as it has a lot...
