Motorcycle Museum and Classic Car — Attraction in Hervás

A truly amazing collection of hundreds of beautifully- restored vintage motorbikes, along with some classic cars and old carriages and prams, set out in 7 pavilions. Each vehicle is labelled with year, make and origin - it's a 2- hour visit easily. The amount of restoration work is mind- boggling. This is a really important museum set in a little-known town in the wilds of Spain! There is plenty of parking. The pavilions are set out on a large sloping site with different animals dotted between - alpaca, goats, donkeys, emus - and chickens running around. At the top of the site is a mirador with views over the town of Hervás and surrounding countryside. The town itself is worth visiting, with medieval houses and streets and the via verde running through its disused...

Definitely this museum is a MUST SEE when you're around or passing by the "Ruta de Plata" Highway, next to Hervás.

Lots of motorbikes, cars and old stuff concerning wheels and locomotion. But wheels apart, can see also some animals like donkeys, goats, Vietnamese pigs, Australian emus... What children appreciate a lot, as it is possible to touch and feed them.

And the collection continues widening. The next ongoing installation is regarding... Much better if you come and have a chat to the owner, who will be pleased to tell you about next stuff and some stories also.

Lo hemos visitado recientemente, para empezar el entorno es muy bonito, pero sorprende aún más desde la ubicación, las edificaciones que albergan los pabellones y sobre todo que su fundador con tanto tiempo, esfuerzo, dinero y sobre todo ilusión haya creado este museo y lo que hay en él. Es único, artesanal, guarda trocitos de historia, fabricación española de vehículos y con mucho trabajo de una vida, por lo que la entrada de 10 € cuando salimos no nos pareció cara, además los niños es gratis. Es cierto que denota cierta decadencia, y requiere de inversión para restaurar las instalaciones. Sería muy de agradecer para la sociedad en general, la economía de la zona, el apoyo a ideas e ilusiones emprendedoras que pudiera tener algún tipo de facilidad o apoyo público o semipúblico, que permita su permanencia en el tiempo y así disfrute para siguientes visitantes y generaciones. Nos enteramos que el fundador había fallecido en 2024, lo cual te da cierta pena porque si solo el estaba tirando de este proyecto tan bonito,..., esperamos y deseamos que pueda permanecer ese legado, y solo podemos decirle a el y quienes les hayan apoyado enhorabuena y gracias por el esfuerzo. Aconsejo la visita, siempre que no se esté buscando algo perfecto, merece la pena y...
