• Ticketing: Bought a ticket online, was no issue and their website was easy to navigate. The entry fee is ok-ish. Though upon many reviews of people complaining about the lines, I got an additional fast pass for 6 different slides. • Arrival: I went there on a monday afternoon after 12am. I came per bus (from Barca) so no parking fee. The park was at decent capacity, not too many people and it was easy to get around. • Park: The changing rooms, showers and toilets were kinda clean for an outdoor water park. The lockers were not too expensive and you got a souvenir later when you give the keyes back. The staff was pretty nice (as everywhere, there were nice people but also grumpy folks), they are mostly students it seems and they speak a very basic english. I also thought it was a rip-off to additionally pay to sit on a long chair, so I (and many others) avoided them and just layed down on the lawn near the racing slides. • Slides: Their slide selection is very nice. Though why on earth do they close ALL the slides at 5pm in high season even when there was no queue on some?! Thats very early. But still, I managed to ride all adult slides in half a day. -Their 2 water coasters (Xtreme Mountain and Water Mountain) were the main highlights and were the busiest. These are action packed fun slides with many great drops. -Close Second was Rafting River (disco slide with group rafts, let me ride alone but usually they dont do that). These 3 rides had the longest lines but were also the only slides I could use the fast pass, the other slides had barely any wait more than 5min. -Another very popular slide was the red body slide Python, it is very fun with quick changes of direction. -Mamba (blue body slide) was also pretty thrilling. No waiting at that slide -The white body slide was the weakest but also had no wait. -The 2 Kamikazes are really fast and amazing, though I would have preferred they let you wear swimming goggles since water shoots into your face very badly on this one. This slide also seems older and never had a line. -Wild River seemed very outdated and pointless in its design, though still popular. -The Storm slides with the bowls were ok only, but they were pretty rough and scatch your back (especially the right slide), wouldnt recommend. Had a very short wait. -The Speed Furious slides were tons of fun, really enjoyable and intense. These also never had a wait. -Hurricanes were sadly a no for me since it requires to ride in pairs. -Speed Slides were kinda fun but pretty standard mat racer. Also no wait -Racing slides were pretty cool, a little bit rough but stilp fun and you could spin. Wait was short.
•Pools: Apart from the slides, they had some nice pool areas. The Bay and La Calma were cool and almost empty and so was the water much cleaner. The wave pool on the other hand was much busier and dirtier. I was also surprised how many nice and modern kids areas they had. •Restauration: Their food is very mediocre and low-quality, its basically a bunch of ice creams and frozen food (Burges, Pizzas etc). The burger was ok for 6€ but a bit bland. Concerning the drinks, I highly recommend their sangria, its delicious.
Verdict: +slides: some really good ones, like speed furious and water coasters but also some old rough ones. +pools: busy wave pool but also nice calmer pools to relax ~cleanliness was ok but not great ~price was ok, not too expensive but the fact you pay for every aditional little thing is offputting, also check if the park is busy enough before buying fastpass ~restauration wasnt that great, except for the drinks and the prices were reasonable -nothing was really that bad that I would consider mentioning to watch out for. Mostly, from what I heard from others, its best to...
Read moreWe had a very mixed experience at Water World. To begin with, there is a great variety of slides for all ages, there is plenty of space for towels on the grass and there is adequate availability of deck chairs; however, this was overshadowed by the truly negative and disappointing experience my children had with a lifeguard.
My two children were waiting in the queue for a float for the “Hurricanes” on 18th of August around 4:30pm and were signalled by the lifeguard to collect the float from the two individuals coming down the slide.
As my children went to collect the float, a Spanish man and his son refused to give it to them. The lifeguard watched this happen, but completely turned a blind eye to it, ignoring the issue. Due to the language barrier, my children could not understand the man, but brushed this off as miscommunication and waited for the next pair to come down the slide two seconds later. They were given a different float by the next people exiting the slide and began walking towards the entrance of the slide.
Suddenly, the lifeguard runs up to my children and starts speaking in Spanish to them. She snatches the float from them and starts walking back to the queue for the floats. My children were highly upset and ran after her, trying to explain that they were just in the queue a minute prior. She makes a huge fuss and insists that they were not in the queue, despite giving them the go ahead to collect a float mere seconds ago. Eventually, she gives in and reluctantly allows my children to go down the slide.
My children assumed that their issues with the lifeguard had ended there, until she acted childish and unprofessional by following the next individuals to the end of the slide where they collected the float from my children. This was extremely petty and unnecessary, trying to make my children look like rule breakers in front of everyone.
Moral of the story — if she did her job correctly in the first place by correctly supervising the changeover of floats instead of fanning herself, there wouldn’t have been an issue. It is clear that my children were targeted by this employee, who clearly is not qualified for her job, for being tourists — a frequent issue I have noticed in Lloret de Mar.
My advice for English-speaking visitors: skip this water park. It is not worth the issues that you will run into with xenophobic employees and visitors. One of my children also experienced terrible whiplash from the slides with steep drops and is unable to...
Read moreWe went beginning of June during the week (loret de mar park) , and the queues were fine, the longest we waited was probably 20 minutes. Beautiful views as its on a hill and you are high up. As others said, lots of walking up hill after sliding down, but neither children or us really minded at all (and we managed fine barefoot). There are grass areas where you can put a picnic blanket /bags down, also shaded areas under trees which we really appreciated. There are small lockers for valuables but we didn't bother with them. The children (7 and 9) loved it, lots of different types of slides, including 2 more 'scary' ones not for the faint hearted! For younger children there are a few family pools with little slides. I'd recommend wearing a rash vest (sun protection as well as protection from hurting your skin on some slides) and following safety instructions on pictures (there's staff members on each slide too but they wouldn't necessarily remind everyone if it's busy) as I didn't protect my head and banged it against the side in the 'storm' slide.
Everything seemed really clean, including toilet facilities. Overall we had a great day, staff took photos of us when we arrived but not in the park, we bought 2 of them (€10 for 1, €6 for the second and I believe it would have been €30 for all 6) but given that you can't really take your phone on rides it would have perhaps been nice if they would add some photo options during the day (although it made it feel much more relaxed and less commercial /pressurised not to have this, and we managed to take some photos with one of us taking time out). We didn't have any food or drink so can't comment on this, but the restaurants looked nice for sitting. You can easily spend a day there but I'd say 3h is a minimum, and that's without long queues/having food there. We would definitely recommend it to others, our...
