I saw another review saying they would give 0 stars if they could & I couldn’t agree more! Me, my boyfriend, little brother & his girlfriend went to the driving range as we were only staying over the road from the club. First of all, we weren’t served for 10 minutes, we looked for someone to serve us but no one was about. When we was finally served the man behind the counter was rude & arrogant (not sure if this was because we were English or not) but he was extremely unwelcoming & told us we had to pay for the clubs we borrowed separately in cash (something we didn’t have to do the previous day with another person). We requested the same clubs as the day before for him to tell us it is not allowed & we believe he picked out the worse possible clubs for us to use (4 iron - this was one of the shortest 4 iron I have seen, sand wedge we didn’t ask for & a 3 wood we were told we weren’t allowed). We will not be returning after this experience, very unwelcoming & half assed about the customers coming in. Made us very uncomfortable, which is very unfortunate after seeing how lovely the grounds are. Overall, poor customer service, completely unreasonable & rude staff - I am honestly...
Read moreWe won’t be coming back! Starter man talked the course up but to be honest it didn’t compare with the other three course we played this week. Layout - 18 holes squashed in tightly. General condition - tired. Atmosphere - soulless. No sand in the bunkers, ropey fairways, rough buggy track, no parking, no breakfast snack before round - we were told to wait until food buggy starts meandering the course at 10am. Our 4 ball played well and efficiently, but the day was spoilt by a mindless jobsworth giving us a bad taste on the fourth green. We had played the first four holes comfortably inside the the target time despite twice waiting for the way to clear in front (no criticism of the people in front - the pace of play was fine) and then got harassed by a marshall of some sort asking us to speed up. A jobsworth employed to upset customers travelling a long way for a relaxing golf holiday! Sat there sprawled all over his buggy exaggeratedly displaying his watch - brain disengaged - churning out his spiel on repeat play. We found a spot up the road for lunch and spent our euros there. Next year the green fees will go...
Read moreSadly lacking , having played in previous years. Sadly Villamartín has failed this time .. the bunker’s are dire, hardly any sand and full of stones, unplayable as this will damage golf clubs, fairways are burnt out and dry , non hospitality on the course, (other courses we played near by had no issues) Golf buggies are battered and look very old. The course looks like it’s given up. And living off an old reputation . Charging a premium rate for a subpar services and a poorly maintained course….Thieves hang about on the 1st green /2nd tee to steal golf bags and personal stuff. So be careful. This is know to Villa-martin staff as well.. We will not be returning again . Very poor Can highly recommend Roda, Las Rambles and Campoamor is...
