This is, without doubt, the single most awful Indian restaurant I have ever had the misfortune of going to. There was not one single solitary part of my families evening meal there that was pleasant. To start with, we booked, and upon arrival, we were shown our table, by the barman pointing, it's there. Not let's show you to your table, welcome or anything. We sat down and a full 15 minutes later we were asked for our drinks etc. We asked for the set nenu at which our server tutted, wandered over to the menu table, and then dropped it on our table! We'd asked for 10 poppadoms, but 6 arrived, clearly counting not a strong point.
We waited another 15 minutes to order our drinks, which arrived another 15 minutes later. We had the misfortune of choosing the house white wine or Euro vinegar to be precise. It was awful and just missing chips to sprinkle it on. It was then a full hour before our starter, and the kids' poor, cold burnt cold chicken nuggets and chips arrived. Then, a full 90 minutes later, we still had no food. I stopped the waiter who rudely and abruptly told me everyone was waiting for 2 hours and walked away.
It then took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, we wish ut hadn't. It was a tasteless, poor quality meal, the chicken tikka masala tasted like it was made with watery tomato soup, the korma equally as weak, then my Khalari had zero taste.
When we complained, we were simply told it wasn't the managers fault. It was because he hadn't employed enough staff, so actually, it was totally his fault.
How this place has a good rating is beyond me, I'm guessing they're old ones from it's heyday in times past. My reviews at the time of writing this have over 2.9 million views, and this is because I give an honest review and opinion. My advice is that I'd to completely avoid this restaurant and seek another unless you have 3 hours to kill, no kids to entertain, and no taste buds...
Read more10 in our party visited for Fleetwood Mac tribute band. When we booked our table the menu had set menus for two persons, on the night this was not available so the price nearly double per head. They crammed so many tables in there outside space that it was difficult to move and waiters only served from one end of table. We ordered our starters which arrived all together. We then ordered our main courses, this is when the fun began...side orders arrived but we then had to wait for mains, when they eventually arrived our side orders was cold and did not arrive all together...one never arrived at all. This meant when we complained about the missing main it arrived well after all others had finished. Then while been served with some of mains the waiter knocked over a bottle of water, when he returned with the remaining mains a bottle of wine was knocked over...not good service...I would not recommend them when there is entertainment...
Read moreThis is an amazing Indian Restaurant and I will be going back very (very) soon for our Friday Indian Meal. The atmosphere, staff and service are all first class and the food is out of this world. I had the special Biryani and it was amazing, as was the Chicken Biryani my wife had. My mother’s meal was equally good but I have to say the Naan breads were the best I have ever had anywhere in the world. No one has ever served me a Keema Naan like that - superb and everyone else said the same about the garlic and coriander naan too. Great food, great team, thanks. A special thank you also as our kids were all late turning up for a meal but the staff stayed open and served them all, even doing adult sized burger and chips and nuggets and chips for the two that prefer the international food. My lad had the Balti and a keema naan and said it was the best he had ever had too - so an extra thank you for staying open...
