We’ve visited plenty of Indian restaurants in this area and have never been very impressed. So we decided to go here without many expectations.
The set meal at €31 seemed a good idea. Two mains, rice, naan and two poppadoms with chutneys is exactly what we’d usually order plus you could have two large beers or a bottle of wine included for the price too.
The service was friendly so we waited to see what the food was like.
The poppadoms were crisp and fresh but the chutneys were a bit of a let down but that was our only disappointment.
We had a Chicken Tikka Dhansak, Chicken Tikka Bhuna, Pilau Rice and a Garlic Naan. The Dhansak was great with a little bit of bite to the lentils and a lemony tang in the sauce. Rice was fine and the Naan was tasty if not a little bit flat. The Bhuna was great as well with lovely spicing.
We were very pleasantly surprised at how good it was overall and it’s a pity that we’d never been on all of our...
Read moreVisited here today through a suggestion from a family member however I was really unimpressed. It took around 15 minutes to actually get seated which is fair enough, we were just waiting on a table which I didn’t think was bad however I didn’t expect to have to wait 20 minutes to take my drinks order, another 45 to take our food order and then another hour waiting for our food. The food I was served was not worth the wait. The naan didn’t look like a naan, it looked like a plain pizza dough that’s just been cooked. My friends curry wasn’t even hot it was luke warm and tasted like a shops own curry just been heated up. This is not something you expect after such a long wait. We didn’t want to wait for the bill to come to our table due to being over and done with the service we were receiving. We went to the bar and paid and they didn’t even have our order saved so we had to remind them what we had. We will never be...
Read moreWhat attract us to this restaurant was the menu. It's small and usually it's a good sign of fresh produce. The service was very welcoming. We went for the meal deal which looked a great choice. You can choose any starters from the main menu, a main meal, rice or nan bread and a bottle of wine or beers. They gave us the papodoms on the house. Our starters arrived we had a chicken and a vegetable pakora . In all the years I've gone for an Indian I have never had anything so tasteless , no spice no flavour and it didn't come with a dip as it was stated on menu. I couldn't eat it. I was dreading what the main meal was going to be like. We both had prawn sag. We were very disappointed 😞. I definitely won't be going back. The Asian house wines are usually good, but even that was awful and there was no other choices .we were prepared to pay extra for a good wine. I don't recommend...
