Font Cibernètica — Attraction in Salou

Disappointing change to the fountain recently. The music and light show used to be brilliant and we have seen it several times. It had modern pop music including Abba and finishing with John Miles classic song ' Music is my First Love'. The music was accompanied by jets and swirling water spouts colourfully lit and also laser light images added into the water mist. It finished with a large laser sign in the water mist saying ' Goodnight from Salou'. Absolutely breathtaking ! But now it has been revamped with classic orchestral music only. This is split into four movements. The first is very slow and the twirling water jets are not very high and little change. The orchestral music is drab and when it finishes there is a gap of a minute or two before the next similarly boring movement starts. This continues until movement three speeds up a bit. Between movements some people leave thinking the show is over. No lasers and no goodnight finale. Totally disappointing ! We shall not be watching it when we...

Wife's mobility issues forced the agenda, remembered from a long time ago how they were upgrading the walkways, they didn't stop there. The boulevards were superb, the beaches/ seafront was very clean, light shows in every water feature which there were quite a few. Never been to such a densely populated hotel area, more eating, drinking places than you can shake a stick at! Unfortunately they've bought into the tourist too much, I thought it was quite expensive with some ridiculous prices for items. After saying that if you went for a complete chill out you can do it, or if you want to let your hair down, same again. Very few decent restaurants, but you'd never go hungry or thirsty. The hotel we stayed at was superb, wouldn't like to go peak season, would imagine the hawkers would go into overdrive....

This fountain will always hold a special place in my mind as its where courage took over and I proposed to my partner at the time..

Its a nice attraction with a beautiful display of light shows and no admission charge for this. There is plenty of standing space and if people try to sell you items, simply blank them if not interested and you get left alone. I haven't had any issues with this.

I would recommend this visit if in Salou.. Even if the person you propose with is now your ex and you both still continue to visit together to remember the time...
