Very nice place, exceeding our expectations by far! First, the lady gave us a short tour in the plantation and explained how bananas are grown (in English). Then we went upstairs to the museum where they have gathered a lot of information about La Palma's history connected with banana cultivation. It's much more in depth than we expected but unfortunately we didn't have time to read it all before they closed for the day. At the front desk, they also sell some unique and local products made from bananas - banana rum, sweet banana liquor, costemics, dried bananas etc. The lady was so friendly and accomodating which made the experience even better :) She also gave us ripe bananas for free. You can definitely spend 1-2 hours here if you want to read all the information, and also buy some...

Who knew there was so much to learn about bananas?! And about Tazacorte and La Palma. Nice wee museum in a lovely old building, surrounded by bananas. Tranquil courtyard with a trickling fountain is perfect for a quiet seat. Such a nice spot, and worth a visit. No card machine, so take cash for the entry ticket- €2, if I...

I can only recommend this quiet little museum. The lady kindly explained the ins and outs of growing bananas to us and together with the actual exhibits it was very interesting. It costs 2 Euros per person but it is worth it. Never knew they they existed but I am now addicted to salted dried bananas!

Next to the banana field you can find this museum. The museum had a lot of information about bananas, the island and other trade. All information is in English and Spanish. The museum is mainly only text. But you are very close to a banana field and can take pictures here.
