There is a lot of negative feedback and reviews for the aquarium but I personally think these are unjustified.
The aquarium is small and you could pass through it in 15 minutes if your not really interested in fish. However if you like aquariums you will appreciate the costs of running the place.
There is a very good selection of fish and other marine life. The aquarium rescue and home animals that have been attacked too. They currently have 2 turtles that have lost limbs to sharks.
They have some absolutely stunning fish and there is a shark feeding show at 12.30 each day. The stingrays are amazing and bigger than any others I have seen.
Information about the different creatures is limited. It would be nice to see more information displayed.

The staff are very friendly and helpful
There's no pressure to buy anything from the gift shop. Gift shop has a fairly good selection of stuff. Some items were a bargain others were pricey.
There is no cafe inside the aquarium but there's plenty choice right outside.
Unsuitable for wheelchair users and pushchair owners as there is 2 sets of stairs to climb.

Read moreI left this aquarium angry, upset, and disgusted. What’s being passed off as an “educational” attraction is actually just a depressing display of animal cruelty hidden behind glass.
The enclosures are shockingly small, especially for the larger species. Stingrays were piled on top of each other in shallow tanks with barely enough space to move naturally. Sharks and other large fish were trapped in tanks so undersized they could only swim in endless, tight circles — a clear sign of stress and psychological suffering.
It honestly felt like the animals were on display purely for human entertainment, with zero thought given to their physical or mental well-being. There was no meaningful enrichment, no places for them to hide or behave naturally, and many of them looked listless or agitated. It was like watching prisoners slowly losing their minds.
This place doesn’t promote conservation — it promotes neglect and exploitation. Any facility that truly respects marine life would never cram complex, wide-ranging species into boxes barely bigger than bathtubs. It’s shameful.
This aquarium needs to be held accountable. I left feeling sick to my stomach, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone support this kind of outdated, inhumane display. These animals deserve the ocean — not a life of confinement for the sake of tourist photos. 1 star is lucky awful awful place PLEASE DONT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY DONT FUND...
Read moreLovely little aquarium, we visit every year we come to the island. Don't let the outside looks fool you, it's Lovely inside, the staff are amazing and the price is reasonable. Ignore all the bad reviews, people have obviously woken up on the wrong side of bed when they got there. Yes the viewing windows are small but as someone with a qualification in Animal Management that is better, gives the animal more chances to hide when I wants to and causes them less stress. Yes the two turtles are in individual tanks by themselves, but if anyone actually bothered to read the sign they're rescue turtles currently recuperating before they're released back into the wild. There is plenty of information if you're paying attention, each room has a TV which goes through each tank and the different fish in the tanks. The sharks did have some sort of injury on there nose, I doubt it's stress as the tank is plenty big enough for their size (they're only very small sharks), my guess is when two sharks fight over dominance.
The only downside is that's it's not a very big aquarium and it's only a downside because I wanna spend...
