Marina Salinas — Attraction in Torrevieja

Despite looking modern and new there's not a lot of reasons to recommend marina Salinas. First of all there is absolutely no security and any member of the public can use the car park and wander around the boats. I watched on several occasions people boarding the boats to have photographs taken. On the occasion I had a security issue during the night the staff refused to look at the cctv footage to see what had happened. Then there's the problem with all of the wild / stray cats which also board the boats and get under the covers creating an unpleasant smell. Add to this the cost of parking and using a car, the loud music from the bars which can go on well into the morning and the general awkwardness of the staff. Not a place I'd recommend to anyone, I gave 1 star as it would not allow...

Yesterday made reservation with Julien by telephone for small cat to stay 1 or 2 nights. D pontoon was assigned. Today we arrived and the staff denied that any reservation was made and said there was no berth for us. The other marina's did not have berths either. Staff did not take any responsibility for the situation and were not at all very helpful to solve the problem. We eventually went to Marina Internacional were they were much more friendly and helpfull so we could stay at least...
