You would definitely want to visit here if only once for the absolutely superb 19th century architecture - truly beautiful. I Stopped off here mid morning for a coffee and croissant, which were nice but small - pricey at €4.30, but this place is aimed at the well heeled predominantly French boat owning community in the harbour over the road, plus holidaying Madrileños with a bit of cash. Judging by the clientele I saw, they were miserable with their money. The service was good, although it wasn't busy, and the crockery and music were tasteful. However, the view of a row of green portakabins just across the road was unfortunate, and the fake marble tables made out of MDF were disappointing, particularly in such an august environment, and in a country that excels in marble...

Very beautiful old Casino restaurant with old time cosy service. Inside the decoration are gorgeous with sculped wood panels on the walls, very high dining rooms with turkish style chandeliers, paintings, marble in the restrooms. The daily tapas change and are made with the traditional recipes. You can feel tha past old times and attend a jazz concert on the terrace and inside tables are ready to welcome some new groups. Fantastic place, called in for a beer and stopped all afternoon for tapas. Amazing building great service by traditional proper waiters, we found them very friendly and efficient. Please go inside and check out Tapas available in the main bar rather than just rely on the menu, the waitress behind the bar was very helpful and friendly, between us we managed to sort out what was what with her limited English and my worse Spanish, a great experience.
