The Saturday Morning Market is back in full swing now! The Plaça was as lively as ever and we enjoyed family time together stopping for ice cream at the XIXO and perusing the local wears. We even took a silly photo at a frame set up by the butcher shop. So glad to see life getting back to normal! (They had proper measures set up for COVID19 prevention. There were many of the original vendors, though a few have had to set up in different locations along the Rambla. Everyone was wearing masks, per the newly enforced regulations. )

Big square in the heart of Vic, surrounded beautiful buildings, and lots of shops and restaurants. It is a nice place to hang out with friends or family. I loved the lively atmosphere and the fact that there's always something happening here, from markets to cultural events. A must-visit place.

La plaça, preciosa! Dels llocs emblemàtics que tenim en aquest preciós país que és el nostre. Llàstima que tingui un ajuntament que estiguin arruïnant els mercats setmanals que s'hi fan. D'uns anys cap ací, la cosa va cada cop pitjor. No sé com les persones que governen, que haurien de donar el 100% perquè funcioni com un rellotge estan cobrant el que cobren per no fer res i deixar (desastrosament) que els tècnics de mercats facin com els hi roti, sense tenir en compte l'opinió, tant dels paraires com de la gent que vol un mercat digne i viu, com tenia Vic fa uns anys. Estic molt decebut amb la seva manera de portar les coses, i des d'aquí denuncio que això continua i continuarà així fins a esgotar la legislatura, que no mereixen haver tingut l'honor de gaudir. Fora la mala gestió!!!

Plaza muy pintoresca, ideal para comer algo en alguno de los bares que rodean la plaza. Rodeada por los cuatro costados de edificios nobles de diversas épocas, entre los cuales está el Ayuntamiento o el Palau Comella, encontramos la principal plaza de Vic. En la explanada central tiene lugar anualmente un mercado medieval, una feria gastronómica y el Mercat de Música Viva de Vic. La principal plaza de Vic, conocida como Plaça Major o Mercadal, en la que se desarrolla gran parte de la vida social y cultural de la población, es una gran superficie cuadrada rodeada por los cuatro flancos de preciosos edificios nobles de diversas épocas. Entre ellos destacan el del Ayuntamiento, de finales del siglo XIV, o el Palau Comella, una obra modernista del XIX.

Traditional market / bazar (mercat) happening every Tuesday and Saturday on the main square. Old and wonderful traditions that date back thousands of years back to the Roman empire. 100% recomend to visit on the above mentioned dates.
