Sanctuary of the Santo Hermano Pedro — Attraction in Vilaflor

A nice small church with a moving history. Started in 1766, the temple was unfinished and finished in 2002. On the main facade, build with uniform stones; there is the shrine’s gate, made of tea wood in a semicircular arch. Inside is well maintained, a beautiful altar and carvings. The history of the temple begins in 1766 with the arrival of the Bethlehemite order's male branch, who started the construction of a temple in the exact place where the Saint was born. Nevertheless, due to the political reforms carried out in the 19th century in Spain, the temple remained unfini- shed until 1981. Pequeña y muy hermosa iglesia perfectamente cuidada al límite de la excelencia. Más allá de las creencias religiosas el lugar inspira paz, sosiego, recogimiento e invita a la introspección. En el solar sobre la que está construida estuvo la casa en donde nació hace más de trescientos años el Santo Hermano Pedro, referente indiscutible de orgullo para creyentes o no del pueblo chasnero de Vilaflor.
