The ship is an incredible work of art and a guided tour through it is a must if you’re in Göteborg! Make sure to also stop for a fika or pizza lunch in their cozy café, where you can enjoy a small exhibition of antique porcelain, the construction of the ship and more. Many of the staff are proper sailors and, if you’re lucky they’ll tell you of their adventures with the Götheborg.

The Gotheborg of Sweden ship was docked at London, Canary Wharf. We visited on Friday at 9:30am and the ship was packed! Once we entered the ship there was a queue inside to go up the top deck at the back of the ship which took about 20 minutes. You do get a chance to go down below deck to view the cannons and see the heart of the ship with its wooden frame. The Swedish representatives were friendly and helpful throughout. The ship is truly beautiful and the guys have done an awesome job in replicating the original. It's a shame the lack of organization resulted in queues and spoiled the experience.

Beautiful 18th replica of a ship built in its original technology. It is possible to see in the place how the parts of the ship were built. Normally, the boat is in the pier during the summer. The other seasons it is away in some other ports. A friend of mine reports have visited it on Gibraltar. There are amazing reports of this ship rescuing sailboats in North Sea.

Great replica of the original ship! Wonderful explanation of the history and purpose of the original ship. A lot of history crammed into a small space. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She showed a genuine love and care for the ship having sailed on it previously.

This ship is the most unique wooden sailing ship in the world. Tarred hemp rigging, hand stitched linen sails, hull of oak, masts made as they were in the 1700's. Check this place out before the ship disappears.

Description
Götheborg of Sweden is a sailing replica of the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg I, launched in 1738. All sailors survived when the original ship sank off Gothenburg, Sweden, on 12 September 1745, while approaching the harbour on her return from a third voyage to China.
