The exhibition is very nice and offers a comprehensive history of Swedish merchant many activities. The descriptions on the second floor are, unfortunately, only available in Swedish. You need to make sure to take a left when coming up the stairs as there are English language information sheets available there, which explain the exhibits on that floor. In the other areas the descriptions are bilingual in Swedish and English. The ship simulator was closed when I visited, but it looked like a rather sophisticated specimen that may be used in actual nautical training as well. There were lots of activities for children of all ages: a full scale yardarm complete with sail for kids to grow their sea legs, plaster waves to climb on, a moving wheelhouse that simulates a fishing vessel in a storm, plus a number of scheduled, guided activities.
