Eichholz — Attraction in Bern

I love this place! You can lay down and relax, make a picnic, grill on one of the available grills or jump into the Aare and let yourself go back to the city.

The camping area has a restaurant and showers. Also a La Golosa ice cream stand.

Although not a great location...

Excellent summer spot for families and couples /singles. Way less crowded than Marzili and with more trees. Spots in the shade are also available. Optimal strategy: walk from Marzili to Eichholz, put your stuff in a drybag and swim back down to...

The place is nice but the parking situation is very unsatisfactory. Not convenient if you have someone with you who cannot walk very well. Only blue zones are available (max. 1 hour), which is being enforced with costly...
