Tai Yien — Restaurant in Köniz

A good restaurant in Bern that serves good Chinese food. This restaurant is near gurten Park. We had our dinner here after a good time at gurten Park :)

Food was really good. It was served hot & was placed on a rack with candles below to keep it warm. The hot & sour soup was rrally good. Infact, all the food we ordered were really delicious! Not too salty too. We enjoyed our dinner in the cosy ambience. Price was ok.. its generally cheaper than having food in other parts of Switzerland.

Service was good too. The staff there could speak in multi languages.

Would love to be back for more if we go back to...

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Bern. I lived here since 1999. Sadly , this restaurant just dropped off my list. We ordered twice in the last 4 months and twice extremely disappointing taste. Basically it’s like eating plastic, no taste , the sweet sour tofu came without peanuts. I feel sad about this because we used to frequent this place a lot. Now I need to find an alternative. To the restaurant team , I hope you fix your cooking issues quickly. You have a great customer base after so many years in operation. You could do a come back. Just let us know...

Just bought the third time from this place, the first two times I didnt pay for the extra rice, the husband served me. And now i had to pay 5 franks for the extra rice, and even if I ordered it already on the phone and they messed up the order. Upon Controlling before going I saw that the order was incomplete, no sorry, just charged me more. The food is ok, the wife isnt suited for customer service, attitude was horrible. Couldn’t even explain my Order to her, cause her attitude was very exhausting. You...
