The cobblestone streets were peaceful and quiet, perfect for walking off a meal. Our path led us to the stunning Chiesa Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Stefano, a Renaissance-Baroque church nestled in the heart of the historic district. The moment we stepped into the square, the church’s grand white stone façade, tall rose window, and detailed statues stood out immediately. It felt calm and timeless—no crowds, just the gentle sound of footsteps echoing on the stones. Inside, the atmosphere was equally serene. Beautiful Baroque interiors, soft lighting, and intricate frescoes made it a rewarding stop. Even without a guided tour, we could appreciate the craftsmanship and history that filled the space. A perfect cultural stop after lunch

There's a beautiful train painted red and white that stops in the front of the church, just beautiful; wordless to describe the tranquil state of mind. If you're a tourist, and made it here. Congratulations. This small place is where you can really relax, have a nice cup of expresso or meal after a long hike between the castles.

Chiesa Collegiata dei SS. Pietro e Stefano is a big and very beautifully decorated Catholic Church ⛪️in the center of Bellinzona’s old town. Totally recommend a visit to the 16th century church and take your time, there is so much to see! Very impressive view of the church also from the grande castle up the hill.
