Months ago, I was eating a cheesecake here when I extracted a piece of glass from my mouth, about two centimetres in a rhomboid shape and with very sharp points, that was inside the cake. Shocked, I went to the counter to discretely show the piece of glass. The person behind the counter answered with a total lack of empathy that "she couldn't reimburse me" (?) and that I could choose something else. More shocked by this weird response, another more human and reasonable staff presented his excuses, and I soon after I left. Two days later, the manager sent me a message justificating his staff, arguing she was shocked, and asking how I was doing. His response was insufficient and wrong, as it was not primarily about defending a staff but about acting professionally and taking complete accountability for an incident that could have been very serious. But than it gets worse - they make you pay first (no receipt given) and than you collect your coffee at the bar. Not sure what the baristas where doing but perhaps they should find a new job because they are as slow as continental drift. After 10 minutes and many queue jumpers I left angry. Paid in total 23 francs for a piece of cake and no coffee - to be avoided until they get their act together. Perhaps they should visit Italy to see how it’s done. What a rip off....
