How civilized, to stroll its generous grounds now that the gates are open—one can almost hear the gentle lapping of the lake, the laughter of children, the distant sizzle of a grill. When the entrance fee is required, the space becomes positively expansive, as if designed for a more discerning palate, one that appreciates room to breathe, to observe, to savor.

Read moreIt is a nice place to see stunning views and have a quiet moment by the lake. There was a sandy area which was clean. The water was crystal clear and easily accessible for swimming. Plus, a large green area for picnics and sunbathing. There was, also, a diving platform that had three different heights. Early on a weekday in the spring, it was empty of people, but I can see it being very busy during the summer. There were toilets facilities nearby, though I did not use them, so I can not comment on them. It is an open park, so the area is accessible to people who use a wheelchair. You can also get nice healthy food there compared to the typical sausage, burger and french fries variety of other places / pool or lake kiosk. The buffet and bbq is provided by the hiltl restaurant which is quite nice and known for great food. Admission for adults is CHF 8. Which is the same for all indoor and outdoor pools, lake and river "pools" in Zurich.
