We saw all these good reviews, so we came here. Very disappointing. I hope it’s because of the COVID19, so they are limited to only provide bad service lol Positive: Easy to park Dinning area is quite new and neat Good for taking some photos Negative Not much to see The beer that comes with the entrance ticket is room temp. Can’t even drink it at the spot. If we wish to drink a beer there, we need to pay for another drink.(doesn’t bug me as much yet.) The staff that works has barely any knowledge of their own beers. I asked them what are differences between their beers. For example, he told me 4 of them are English beers and 2 of them are Belgium beer. And asked him them what are the differences between the two Belgium beers. He said he doesn’t know how to describe it. I need to drink it in order to figure out. (What!? This makes me wanna pay nothing) Their bathroom...
Read moreThis is just a brewery pub not a museum.
There’s one large room which has ancient cups and letters, about alcohol history in china. Most are explained in Chinese.
I expected to see actual brewery factory but none was open for public.
You buy a ticket (100twd) at bar to enter that room and can use the ticket as voucher for buying beer later. It’s confusing since it doesn’t say where the ‘museum’ entrance is, if that even exists or how much for the entrance anywhere.
Bartender suddenly asked for 100 as soon as I entered the place.. I was like what’s that for. Not enough explanation.
Draft beer are 150-180twd for a glass. I ordered IPA and it wasn’t cold enough to feel refreshed in a non aircon but fan room on a very hot day.
I recommend you to purchase beer first the head up to ‘museum’ since the...
Read moreThe museum is very interesting and has a lot of historical pieces and documents related to beer making history through the ages. Although I had my Taiwanese girlfriend there to translate for me, they could do with a few more bi-lingual translation for each of the exhibits. The beer is top notch and has all the great characteristics of good craft beer. What it lacks; the people working there don't seem very passionate about beer (wondering if the close season had something to do with it), the place could do with a bit of a dust, a clean of the windows, I feel just a few modifications and the right attitude from staff could turn it from a converted community center sort of vibe into a cosy venue that you might enjoy spending few hours drinking...
