Visiting Hengchun Old Street in Kenting, Taiwan, was an incredible experience! Certainly a must-visit when passing through Hengchun. The main cultural attractions are the old city wall and several city gates that are in the vicinity. The city wall in particular is an interesting site as one can climb it and walk in it for a few hundred meters. Additionally, at the starting point there's also, across the plaza, an old wall with gnarly trees, on which monkeys climb around from time to time. Food-wise the old street is also well-equipped, with cafes (Ce Moment is terrific and offers great cheesecake or cinnamon rolls), restaurants (kitchen swell, if you get a seat), or food stalls (try the green bean soup) offering...

Starts around 5:30p.m. Sunday's only. If it's pouring down rain don't bother. There are Many different t styles of cooking and drinks from many countries. Great for children. Rides and games for youngsters and adults. They shut down around 11:p.m., depending upon the crowd. Summer & holidays are usually more busy. Overall it's reasonably priced.
