For comparison we also visited Cinjin Island prior to this location. This beach has much more stoney sand. A bit harsher underfoot. Where Cinjin Island had very soft sand. There were very little waves here which was nice for wading. The water does have rock formations under the water so you have to be careful when walking. There is a location marked off for swimming but people were wading all down the beachfront which went as far as the eye could see. There are facilities on site such as a bathroom which is free to the public but all wading stations both foot and showers you have to pay for. 10NTD for 1 minute. Rentals for umbrella and mats available for 500NTD for the day. No option for shorter rental periods. There is a sausage, hotdog, chicken nugget stand for quick snacks and then a beef noodle soup location just down from that. We didn't before much further down the lane. Beach was clean water was colder than Cinjin Island which was refreshing on a warm day. Lots of seaweed in the water. Low tide came around 430 and this exposed the rock formations in the water. I'll post a before and after...
Read moreOne of the best 🏝🏖 . Even it is not that big, but it is very cozy place. The beach is clean, very suitable for those who wants to come with kids. The best part is the sunset time. It is better to come to the beach in the afternoon and stay there till the evening. There are toilet and shower room, also the water is available to clean you feet from sand. But you have to pay 10 ntd and wait in the line for while. You will have only a minute to wash your feet.
Convinient store (7-11) is not that far and there are very nice restaurants near by. If you will get hungry you will have choices of food to eat.
What I have noticed is that people come there wearing nice outfits because there are many spots for photography. So if you want to go there you can consider to wear something beautiful and have a nice...

“Shalun Beach Park“ is located at the 16-kilometer mark on Taiwan's Route 2 and is one of the most famous attractions along the North Coast. The coastline here uniquely features both rocky and sandy shores; the left side is lined with protruding rocks, while the right side is a sandy beach composed of algal reef formations and a crescent-shaped beach. Visitors can enjoy strolling on the expansive, ivory sand beach or cycling along the wooden bike path, feeling the sea breeze and the rhythm of nature.
