Chengzhong Market — Attraction in Taipei

A very interesting local shopping place that many foreigners might not know. Full of local flovour. The goods might not be fashionable but the quality is there. Value for money is the selling point here. The vendors are energetic, creative and friendly. A great plus point is that it is quite neat and does not have awful smell. It is usually very crowded and there might be pickpockets lurking around. Therefore you must be very careful of your belongings when you are there. Great traditional market called "Inner city market". This market used to sell fashion goods to the young ladies and housewife several decades ago. Interestingly, the customers continue to shop in here as the time passes. The young ladies now become the elder women. It's probably unknown to most tourists, but i passed by it while walking around my hotel once; and returned during a second visit to Taipei. The fruits are much cheaper than those sold at popular night markets and i was able to score a bargain on winterwear.
