Giguo Taipei Hengyang Branch — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

We are so lucky to have this hotpot restaurant near our hotel! It’s affordable, delicious and convenient. I strongly recommend making a reservation online to avoid disappointment. Especially if on a weekend.

It’s semi buffet style. 100 minute limit. You need to order a soup and meat dish per person, then rice, noodles, vegetables, mushrooms, drinks and desserts are free flow. All food were good. I liked the cheese and milk soup, if you want a lighter taste, I recommend the Hokkaido Konbu soup.

The restaurant is located on the second floor so there are 2 flights of stairs to climb.

The staff are very helpful and will provide an English menu for you if needed. They also recommended which meats to order as we did not want a lot of fats in our food. The restaurant provides a box underneath the table to place your bags. The table itself has electronic buzzers to call for the bill, soup top-up, a service staff, or cleaning of the table. Very convenient.

A nice and clean hot pot restaurant. You pay for the meat, of which there is a large selection. Vegetables, tofu, drinks, etc. are self-service as much as you want for a maximum of 90 minutes. Food is as good as it always been. Service is nice but is so slow. It took 45 minutes and continuous nagging for the meat to come out. The manager ended up saying that we can take our time and just finish the food. But the issue is, it took so long that we are alrd full on other foods and can't finish all the meat.
