Swimming pool - do not come here unless you want to be told off by the brainless locals on their meaningless rules (which we were told which regulation we violated by not wearing swim shorts without inseam netting!) place is a joke by any global standards; staff purposely blocked drainage on both entrances to create an ankle depth pool to stop people from walking in with slippers/shoes! Guess they were too embarrassed themselves to open their mouth to explain their 15 rule regulation at reception when you pay. There were also other rules on where you can put your shoes on the changing room and where you can’t! Pettiness is a high understatement for this place - charge more than Taipei zoo which is just down the road. Come down for a stroll if you want to witness societal regress in its highest form! Very nice lady selling Baozi at the pool...
Read moreThe lifeguards at Taipei Wenshan Sports Center swimming pool were arrogant and refused to let me swim. When I arrived at the pool, Ms. Chen told me I could not wear a T-shirt underneath, even though I was wearing proper swim shorts and goggles. They insisted that I must wear a “professional swimsuit” and ultimately prevented me from entering. I have been swimming at various Taipei Sports Centers for the past 2 years and have never encountered this kind of issue before. It felt as though the lifeguards at Wenshan Sports Center were intentionally trying to prevent foreigners from using the facility. I kindly request the Sports Center Manager to take...
