My last night in Taiwan, 1st day in Taoyuan :(. Is beside the garden. Near Hotel Kuva Chateau, my last night i stay there. - (Thursday) 7 November 2024
The Night Market wasn't as big as the other Night market in other cities. So is short and sweet i guess. At least you walk 2 rounds and will know what to buy and what you want. Is abit crowded but not so, i would say 65-70% full? 100% is like you cant move and have to walk with the crowd.
Bring cash along, maybe few thousands as the price here is not that cheap either. Food is not bad here. There isnt that much of highly recommend food here for me. All taste better than ok. Some stalls do have seats inside too depends on where. Most of the food there able to eat and move around. But if you one person and wanna vlog than nope.
The market is like 1 line, trash bin is located near the middle and the two ends. Some stall might not wanna help you throw your trash even if you buy food from them. I personally wont ask them to throw for me, i will just put in plastic bag and throw it myself.
They do have sudden wet weather prep, that time i went, there is rain and big wind, so took them awhile to actually set up the shelter for their stalls. And be aware of the motorcycle, they might pass by you thru the market.
The food they sell pretty much the same as other...
Read moreThis was my first night here in Taiwan. It was only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel Kuva Chateau.
It was a Friday night and it’s busy but… I actually expected it to be way more busier. You can smell the food from blocks away. You won’t get lost finding the night market here with the bright lights as well.
Definitely bring cash here. Lots of great tasty food and drinks at a great value. Just keep moving and step to the side if you’re ordering. Some stalls have their own seating area and some don’t. I love stick skewers cause it’s easier to eat and walking through the place. The watermelon and cantaloupe juices are so refreshing as well. I’m so lucky to be in this district. I could eat every night here. Actually think I might lol.
If you’re looking for a trash can just hold on to your garbage until you reach the ends of the markets. They will have many trash cans and dumpsters there. Watch out for mopeds driving down the walk...
Read moreWe visited this night market during our stay in the area. It's about a 15-20 minute walk (around 1km) from where we were staying. The night market itself has a lively atmosphere with good energy!
We noticed two main streets – one with fixed shop houses and the other side flanked by push cart vendors. with various restaurants.
The food options were decent, although we found the overall quality to be average compared to other famous night markets in Taiwan.
However, we highly recommend trying the Chinese dumplings served in steamer baskets. They only offer 2 flavours; Orginal or Mala. The dining experience was unique, with queue poles guiding customers and squatting stools available by the roadside for eating.
If you're in the area and looking for a taste of local night market life, we recommend checking...
