Hsin-Shih Park — Attraction in Taoyuan City

This is a large park with a good playground. The sandpit is big, there’s a great rock climbing area, a pirate ship, a gym area etc. The swings are too small and only suitable for very young children. 位於平鎮中原路的新勢公園，是平鎮區最大的公園，面積達 4.6 公頃，與 6.12 公頃的中壢光明公園一北一南，都是位在老街溪旁的大綠地公園，更是一座兼具景觀、運動、休閒、生態教育與水質淨化的全天候開放多功能公園。

新勢公園功能多元，擁有兒童遊戲場、大草皮、生態池、滑板場、籃球場、立體慢跑道、極限運動場、槌球場等。尤其是 2020 年甫完成的兒童遊戲場，擁有沙坑、滑梯、共融式鞦韆、攀爬與體健設施等，是週末假日父母遛小孩的最佳去處。

許多朋友不知道的，是新勢公園擁有「礫間接觸曝氣氧化系統」的隱形設置，這是一種以大自然中微生物來處理污水的生態工法。其乃是於公園的地底，以截流的方式處理平鎮區的新勢、宋屋兩區的居民於日常生活中所產生的污水，並同時引入老街溪的河水來加以淨化處理；淨化後的水就注入公園中的生態景觀池與回流進入老街溪，達到增進景觀與改善水質的雙重目標。此工程榮獲了 2013...
