מהרגע הראשון קיבלה אותנו חנה – המדריכה שלנו – ובכנות, היא פשוט אלופה! חכמה, שנונה, עם חוש הומור מצוין, כריזמה מטורפת וחיוך שלא יורד מהפנים. היא הפכה את כל הסיור למשהו הרבה מעבר לפעילות – זו הייתה חוויה מרגשת, מלמדת, וגם מצחיקה בטירוף.

הסיור עצמו מושקע מאוד – מתחילים בהסברים מרתקים על הפילים, ההיסטוריה שלהם, האתגרים שהם עוברים, ואיך החווה פועלת כדי לשקם אותם. רואים שהמקום שם דגש על יחס אישי לפילים ועל סביבה מכבדת וטבעית.

בהמשך יוצאים להאכיל את הפילים, לצעוד איתם, ולראות אותם מקרוב בסביבה הטבעית שלהם. הילדים היו בעננים – זה לא עוד "מופע" או "אטרקציה" – זה מפגש אמיתי עם בעלי חיים מדהימים, בצורה הכי מכבדת שיש.

עשינו גם סדנה להכנת פד תאי – חוויה מקסימה בפני עצמה: מלמדת, טעימה, ומלאה בכיף. לאורך כל היום היה איתנו צלם מקצועי, כך שנשארו לנו מזכרות מדהימות ואותנטיות מכל רגע.

החלק של הרחצה והמשחקים עם הפילים במים היה פשוט קסום – רגעים שלא נשכח לעולם. האווירה נינוחה, הצוות דואג לבטיחות, והכול מרגיש מאוד אותנטי.

בסיום הסיור חיכה לנו אוכל מקומי טעים ומפנק – ארוחה פשוטה אך טרייה וטעימה, שסגרה את הביקור בטעם טוב.

From the very first moment, we were greeted by our guide, Hana – and honestly, she’s amazing! Smart, witty, with a great sense of humor, tons of charisma, and a smile that never leaves her face. She turned the whole tour into something far beyond just an activity – it was touching, educational, and so much fun.

The tour is very well-organized – starting with fascinating explanations about the elephants, their history, the challenges they face, and how the sanctuary works to rehabilitate them. It’s clear that the place puts emphasis on personal care and a respectful, natural environment.

Next, we got to feed the elephants, walk with them, and see them up close in their natural surroundings. The kids were over the moon – this is not another “show” or “attraction,” but a genuine, respectful encounter with these amazing animals.

We also took part in a Pad Thai cooking workshop – a delightful experience on its own: educational, tasty, and full of smiles. Throughout the entire day, we had a professional photographer with us, leaving us with incredible and authentic memories from every moment.

The part where we bathed and played with the elephants in the water was simply magical – moments we’ll never forget. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff makes sure everything is safe, and it all feels truly authentic.

Our visit to Camp No.2 was the most heartwarming and magical experience! It was truly the highlight of our trip. The staff were incredible, making the experience even more special. Of course, the best part was interacting with the elephants—they were absolutely adorable and clearly well cared for by the staff.

We began with a detailed introduction about the elephants before meeting them up close. We had the opportunity to feed them, make rice balls for them, and even enjoy a mud bath together. It was amazing to see how much the elephants enjoyed it too!

Afterward, we participated in a small cooking class where we learned how to make Pad Thai and enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
