BIRDS Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Visited this place after I got curious to try it. I ordered Chicken Caesar salad, carbonara, and beef strogonoff.

First of all, I got served the carbonara, then the beef strogonoff, and lastly the salad..!!!

The salad dressing was nice, the lettuce was fresh and crispy, but it was missing the croutons. The chicken was properly cooked but it was seasoned with paprika which felt a bit strange for a Caesar salad chicken.

The carbonara was not satisfying, the sauce had cooking cream, and it was on the stove for way too long so the cream actually split. So, no sorry this is not actually how carbonara should be made, cz I didn't taste any egg yolk or cheese in the sauce itself, and it lacked flavor. It didn't have enough salt so I added some, but it also didn't have any black pepper which is a staple in the carbonara.

The beef strogonof tasted fine, but I was surprised to have a strogonof in a Russian owned establishment that was not made the authentic way. It was made with cooking cream, again, instead of sour cream. The quality of the beef was fine, but it needs a bit more attention when cleaning it because it had a few pieces of gristle. Again, it tasted like the chef is allergic to salt, and I had to season it again. The mashed potatoes were so bland by the way. Didn't taste any butter, any milk or cream, and again, lacked salt.

PS. The pepper on the tables is not black pepper. It is the cheap Thai white pepper, so please change it to proper black pepper. PS2. I was asked by 2 people about my meal and had a nice chat with probably one of the managers and he was a nice and...

The place is very nice and well taken care of, with a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The food is good, although honestly, given the prices, I was expecting a bit more.

A big plus is the playroom: if you have kids, it’s fantastic! They can have fun while you enjoy your meal in peace.

The kitchen is open, so the smell does come through, but it’s not particularly bothersome. There are also outdoor tables, but unfortunately, no fans outside — which can be a bit uncomfortable on hotter days.

I recommend the watermelon juice — very fresh and well made. The chicken in the Caesar salad was also tender and nicely cooked.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Birds restaurant at Bang Thao, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I tried their burger🍔🍔, and I was blown away! It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with unique, mouthwatering ingredients. The staff at Birds restaurant deserves special mention, Their genuine warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home.
