Taste Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

We went for drinks and dinner last night and will definitely be back again soon. Friday happy hour serves cocktails at 199 bht, my cosmopolitan was well made 👌 The bar area had a good atmosphere with a nice, local crowd. Jade is always extremely welcoming, we enjoyed the artwork which is in the dining gallery area. This space works so much better now, dining here it felt more intimate, private and now has a special ambiance.

The food was very good, and we opted for sharing dishes. The prawn pilpil was tasty and cooked to your heat / chili preference, generous ceasar salad and some nicely presented camembert wedges. This was the best meal that we’ve had in Phuket since arriving here 7 days ago! The service and food were so amazing! We were the first patrons here today for an early dinner, but as soon as we walked in, the head hostess put everything in motion. The kitchen came to life and everyone seemed to be focused on making the experience perfect for us! The food was amazing...maybe because it’s the first salad I’ve seen in a week. Food here is very unhealthy...lots of rice and curries and kebab and other quick foods. The fish tacos were the best tacos that we’ve had since living in Austin! The beef burger was amazing as it had good beef and a tasty bun. The ribeye was cooked nicely and the au gratin potatoes was a welcomed comfort food! The only thing that would have made the meal better would have been a bread basket and some Olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette while we waited for 20+ minutes...

Great food, nice service. Probably the best good I've had in Phuket so far. Casual. Flatbreads were great, panna Cotta was amazing, salad great!

Just ate here again ... Gonna abandon the scooter and get a tuktuk home the food was so great. Had the same flat breads the Maryland crab cakes (wow) and big crab burger ... Great

Also the price is very nice vs haggling for prices in other places.

Went back and ordered tacos and from tapas menu ... Still great. Maryland crab cakes has been nightly.

Also nice we have come enough to see the specials menu change so unlike most places it really is a special.

The only negative I have seen is when we sat outside service didn't check on...
