The crystal-clear waters are inviting, perfect for swimming or simply lounging by the shore. The surrounding environment exudes tranquility, making it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Klong Muang Beach is one of those places in Krabi that feels like a hidden treasure. Located about 25 minutes from Ao Nang, it offers a completely different atmosphere — calm, elegant, and without the crowds. The beach stretches long and wide, with soft golden sand and clear, shallow water that’s perfect for swimming at high tide. When the tide goes out, small islands and coral rocks appear, creating a peaceful and picturesque setting that’s great for photos or a quiet walk.

Along the beachfront, you’ll find a mix of high-end resorts and small local restaurants. Many places offer beachside dining with a view of the sunset over the Andaman Sea — something truly magical. The area has a relaxed, upscale vibe, with massage huts under palm trees and very few vendors, which keeps it peaceful.

Klong Muang is ideal for couples or travelers looking to unwind in a more refined setting. It’s also a good base for day trips to Hong Island or for exploring Krabi’s nature and caves nearby. There’s not much nightlife here, but that’s part of its charm. If you’re searching for tranquility, beautiful scenery, and a touch of local hospitality, Klong Muang Beach might be one of Krabi’s most...

For residents of AT SEA Krabi Condo, this is your local beach within a few minutes walking distance. This delightful curved stretch of white soft sand is what comes to mind when the word ā€˜beachcomber’ is mentioned.

It is a laid-back, sleepy almost uninhabited beach that has an amazing amount of sea shells scattered along the shoreline; especially when the tides change; they get washed up everyday.

I met a guy who collects the shells to make seaside wall hangings.

The tide gets really low and exposes all the rocks underneath while the high tide sometimes rises as much as two metres.

But the reason why most people visit the beach in the late afternoon is to experience the awesome sunsets.

From families to professional photographers with tripods and scene setups, this is where many of those iconic pictures of Thailand beach culture originate from.

This is a beach further away from Ao Nang Beach, and you will need to drive. I was at the Reua Thong Restaurant and bar, taking the attached photos. It is a lot less busy than Ao Nang Beach and Nopparat Beach. There are 3 or 4 massage shops up on the street like the Number One Massage Shop (sorry can't remember the others). There is easy parking along the street (bonus), and several restaurants that are real good. The Boat Coffee, the Reua Thong is a great place to enjoy a beverage/meal and the beauty of the beach and further down the road opposite the Krabi Sands Resort is The Beach House Restaurant. Watch the sun go down there (and they have some decent wines), it is a really nice view of the sunset there. So if you can arrange wheels to get there, it is my favourite beach.

Beautiful beach, a little remote and away from crowds. Good for a walk in the evening to enjoy the sunset. The cleaning needs to be improved as there is a lot of driftwood as well as other items washed up on the sand. There are plenty of resorts along the beach, place where one can seat and enjoy the views, volleyball court and some restaurants for refreshments and snacks. When the tide is low, the rocks are exposed and might be not as comfortable for bathing, but I assume that during high tide the problem is not there. Absolutely recommend you to visit this beach if you are looking to get a way from crowds and enjoy a pleasant walk and a gorgeous sunset. Hope this helps šŸ™
