Our check-in was very late so we could have dinner. The check-in as well as the transfer and showing of the rooms were very long and we had to ask for dinner at the reception itself, since we barely had time for it. In addition, they charged us 9,000 bths as a deposit for the room, which nobody informed us about at the time of making the reservation in person and when we left the hotel we are still waiting for someone to explain to us when and how they will refund us that deposit!!
The cleaning of the rooms Had to be discussed at reception, since the day We had a massage at 4:00 pm, we went to shower and the room was still not made, with the fuss that caused us without towels and so on!!!
The pool lacks relaxation signs and making it clear that children Should be in the white pool suitable for them.
The pool bathroom was clean, there were more than 4 times that we had to report it at the Towel collection point, which was flooded and smelled of urine, another thing that we did not understand For the hotel that we have paid for! This cleaning service must be every Hour, and we arrived surprised by one of the cleaners talking on her mobile while doing the bathrooms.
Very warm reception and little resolution of reasons, sometimes they get up to greet you and then they relax a lot, and nobody came out to greet us!!
Lack of high level of English in the Waiters in green polo shirts, several days we received the wrong pre-order of coffee and tea!
Lack of help service In the pool and the boys lack energy and aptitude.
Lack of control in the reservation of sunbeds there were days that all They were with blue towels and empty of public in some cases more than 2 hours!
The spa service was not bad, (although we had enough of the shameless way of trying to sell us something just after our massage) except for the enormous lack of care of the staff that does the massages: the girl for whom we paid 2700 for each massage, was the same one that two days later gave me one in some cabins next to the hotel and there I only paid 400bth!!!!
More concerned about Your departure and checking your room and that you do not take the courtesy bag (which is not new) than Solving some last details of the Check-out!!!
The exchange rates at the hotel are also ABUSIVE, JUST LIKE WHAT THEY TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR TRANSFERS TO THE AIRPORT OR BOAT!!!
The buffet breakfast should give a turn to the corner of Indian things and Improve the options as well as the Thai VARIETY!! We are in Thailand.
[ ] To highlight something, Tawa at breakfast together with Tang as a waiter and his short-haired brunette superior, who were very helpful. [ ] The team of boys who drive the buggies to transport you around the hotel were very helpful, fast and effective.
To finish, I rate this hotel as a 4 star deluxe, but they still have a lot of work to do to improve it to finally be a 5 star hotel;
And very familiar for what we expected, lots of babies and small children, for those of us who pay for the tranquility of a 5 star hotel...
Read moreWe had the most incredible 17 night stay at this amazing resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel safe welcome and cared for. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made all the difference.
The resort itself is absolutely stunning stunning, well maintained, clean and perfectly designed to offer both luxury and relaxation. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The location was breathtaking, offering a peaceful atmosphere and gorgeous views of both the gardens and the beach. If you want to be in the hustle and bustle of it all Ao nang is just a short 15 minute tuk tuk or scooter ride away.
Whether we were lounging by the pool or exploring the attractions, it was clear this resort is a gem.
The food was outstanding! From buffet breakfast each morning to Mangosteen restaurant in the resort. The quality and variety of food was just excepcional.
A special shoutout to the staff for their impeccable service, they truly made our stay unforgettable. A few names that deserve to be mentioned are… From recreation James, Pao, Ohn, Ko, who made sure we didn’t lift a finger without them being at our service. From wellness Loh and Arun and the manager (who I can’t remember his name) was an absolute pleasure to see them each morning as we entered the gym. I did a Muay Thai session with Arun which was awesome, and a PT session with Loh which was fantastic. He was also super knowledgeable.
From breakfast and the lounge, Pat who made delicious omelettes each morning with a huge smile on his face. Also the 2 head chefs who always went above and beyond to make sure we had what we desired to eat. The manager that was behind the coffee machine with the glasses (not sure of his name) always made us incredible coffees. Hah and Supranee who were just such a delight to see each morning. They always made sure we were seated immediately and ready to start the morning off with coffee, papaya and a lovely chat even though they were so busy. These ladies were just incredible and super heart warming.
To all the other special staff at Dusit Thani that deserve a mention…Fang, Sea, Name, Wa, Dream, Neem, Henry, Noop, Saw (cococvida) Bank, Rakan, Lee ( the buggy driver who smiled 24/7) Fai (house keeper who kept our rooms Impeccable). Seng, the most incredible garden sweeper who was excellent at what she did and was a joy to see each morning. Last but definitely not least, Amita at the front desk who played a big part in making sure our stay was incredible. Her beautiful nature and calmness about her was something else. She truly is amazing at what she does.

Although the resort is not brand-new, I was impressed by how beautifully the grounds are kept. The landscaping is lush and well-maintained, and the facilities are cared for with noticeable attention. The entire property has a serene, tropical atmosphere that feels both relaxing and luxurious. It’s clear that the management puts effort into ensuring that the environment remains inviting despite the age of the resort.
The breakfast was another highlight of the stay. The quality, freshness, and variety were very good, and the staff managed the service in an organized and attentive manner. One small suggestion I would make is to consider rotating the breakfast menu a bit more throughout the week. Guests staying multiple nights, like myself, might appreciate seeing different patterns or slight variations each day to avoid repetition.
Regarding amenities, the towels stood out as an area that could be improved. Many of them felt a little too worn and frayed. I fully understand and respect that this is a “green hotel” with a strong commitment to sustainability, which I value. However, towels that are heavily aged or with unraveling edges may need replacement. Refreshing these would still support the hotel’s eco-friendly philosophy while also providing guests with a greater sense of comfort.
The biggest issue I encountered during my stay was with the air conditioning system. Each time I turned it on, there was a noticeable musty odor, similar to dust or mold. It was strong enough to affect the overall comfort in the room. This seems to be a matter of filter cleaning and regular maintenance, and I would recommend addressing this as a priority. Cleaner air would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Another small inconvenience was with the bathroom facilities—the toilet sometimes did not flush smoothly, and the water flow felt weaker than expected. While not a major issue, resolving this would definitely make future stays more seamless.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort. The beautiful grounds, relaxing atmosphere, and enjoyable breakfast made my stay memorable. With just a few improvements—such as replacing older towels, maintaining the air conditioning system, and ensuring bathroom fixtures function perfectly—the resort could offer an even higher level of comfort and satisfaction.
