The beach is extreamly beautiful with the soft white sand. The beach is cornered so you are safe if you want to swim. It is pure sandy beach, no seapick or seaweed. So beautiful.
The beach is also suitable for the family with little kids. Be careful, you kids might be crying because theg don't want to stop playing.
The water is relatively low and the wave is nothing.
You can see the hill from here.
The beach is not so far from our hotel so we can easily walking. However it was really tiring and the sun was totally hurting our skin.
So it is better if you rent the scooter.
There is the short cut to the beach but you need to walk down the stairs which scary for me. And also tiring .
But after seeing the view and the water, it was all worth it.
Additional information from google : Tawaen Beach is by far the most developed and the most visited beach on Koh Larn. On any given day by my estimate there are well over three thousand visitors, come to this beach. On the weekend that number may double for many people come down from Bangkok to enjoy a weekend of relaxation on the island far removed from their city life. This is also a place that attracts international tourist from all over the globe. Most any major language can be understood here to a certain degree, the people that work here cater to international travelers on a daily basis. Most of the restaurants will specialize in one or two types of international cuisine, one may specialize in Russian food whereas another may serve Chinese and so on. All the activities can be found here, Jet Ski, Banana...
Read moreWell O didn't know the name of the beach till now cause in our itinerary it was just coral Island. The beach is small but beautiful. With turquoise shallow water u can swim in. The place has lot of water sports activities like scooter boat, banana boat, parasailing, ocean walk, scuba and snorkelling. We did parasailing and ocean walk there. It was fun and existing. But ocean walk is 1200thb per person and another 600 for the CD of photos if u want one. All the activities are safe though. Even if u don't want to do anything u can just relax on the chairs under the sunshades. Even the swimming area of the beach is marked by floating fencing. We enjoyed swimming there. You can use the paid toilets and changing rooms for 10 thb per use. Even the floating rubber jetty is also a fun to walk on balancing urself. But if ur with family having elderly people don't take them there cause just getting out of the jet boats and walking on a moving jetty can be quite hard to them. Also when we went there it was cloudy and windy causing waves which created harsh , VERY BUMPY jet boat ride which can be hard on ur bum and spine. Also DON'T take valuables with you , I lost my wallet because of that BUMPY ride. But learnt lesson. So beware. But overall me and my family enjoyed at...
Read moreThe beach at Pattaya isn't exactly the finest beach you can visit. So, many people opt to go to the island of Koh Larn, MANY PEOPLE!
My friends wanted me to see this place. So, we get up nice and early and catch the ferry at the end of walking street. Price is 30 Baht. We thought "Oh my gosh, that's cheap!" The ferry ride was fun and relaxing. Here's a tip, if you're on the lower level don't sit along the outside as you will definitely get soaked!
Once docked, you have option of going to the small beach on the right or the big beach on the left. Right beach, quiet, not many people. Left beach, crowded with Chinese tourists! Left beach has everything you would have in pattaya beach, including a 7/11! Food vendors, people walking up and down trying to sell you anything and everything. The beaches are beautiful white sand and clear water. But it was so crowded. I can't count how many times I saw people taking selfies on the beach.
We get there about 10:30 a.m. The next boat to go back is at 1:00 p.m. So, for the next two and a half hours I try to keep myself entertained. I make sure we're at the dock by 12:40!
Get this, we have to pay another 30 Baht to go...
