Tawaen Beach was a mix of adventure, fun, and a bit of frustration, but overall, it was a memorable experience. We started our journey from Pattaya City, taking a speedboat to the first stop where people were doing parasailing. The energy there was incredible, watching people flying high above the water was thrilling, even if we didn’t try it ourselves.
After that, we moved to the coral diving location. A lot of people were diving and enjoying the underwater views, but here’s where things got a little disappointing. We weren’t allowed to take our own photos because the locals assured us they’d take professional pictures and give them to us at the end of the trip. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a tourist trap. When we asked for the photos later, they demanded extra money, and even after paying, we didn’t get what was promised. So if you’re planning to visit, make sure you find a way to capture your own moments. Don’t rely on anyone else for your memories.
From there, our speedboat finally took us to Tawaen Beach and this part made up for the earlier hassles. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The white sand and clear, blue water were perfect, and there were so many fun activities to try. We saw people riding jet skis, speed bikes, and banana boats, and there were even quieter spots where you could just relax and enjoy the scenery. It felt like a little paradise.
But there were a couple of things that stood out in a not-so-great way. I noticed a lack of consideration from some tourists when it came to keeping the beach clean. People were carelessly throwing bottles around, and it was disappointing to see glass bottles on the sand, which could easily hurt someone. It wouldn’t take much for everyone to be a bit more responsible and keep such a beautiful place clean and safe.
Another thing was the overall atmosphere with some of the crowd. Unfortunately, there were a few people who seemed to lack basic respect and modesty. I noticed a lot of uncomfortable staring, especially from certain groups, which took away from the relaxed vibe you’d expect at a beach.
That being said, if you’re looking for a beach with soft white sand, clear water, and plenty of water activities, Tawaen Beach is still worth a visit. Just stay alert, manage your expectations when it comes to photos, and focus on enjoying the natural beauty and the fun experiences the beach...
