My wife and I were looking forward to our upcoming trip to andamanda, but the reality turned out to be quite disappointing. I will try to objectively describe all the complaints about the park without offending anyone, while also warning other tourists about potential mistakes. So, if your budget for a trip to Thailand is limited, think twice before visiting andamanda, as we spent a whopping 3,800 baht!!! for the most ordinary tickets for two, we were very surprised when we went down to the water park itself and found out that it costs another 200 baht to rent a locker to store your belongings!!!! This is the first big disappointment and a shame for the park, as in all decent amusement parks, lockers are provided free of charge after purchasing a ticket. Shame on you, andamanda. The second point is that if you want to get on at least one ride without having to wait in a 1-hour queue, I recommend arriving at the park as soon as it opens, as the endless queues and the constant pushing of people in front of me were very frustrating and became the main reason why I never returned to the park. In fact, we arrived 1.5 hours after the park opened, but the queues were already several kilometers long. The food was also disappointing. if you want to eat or drink something in the park, be prepared to pay triple the price, which is common for such places, but I still hoped that the andamanda administration had a conscience and that after such expensive tickets, they would provide food and drinks at reasonable prices and in good taste, rather than what we tried there. The sandwiches were particularly disappointing. It was a horror. I would also like to mention the terrible flooring throughout the park, which is extremely uncomfortable for standing and walking on. therefore, you must take either flip flops (which you will have to leave at the top of the rides and return after you have rolled down), or you will have to put up with burning pain in your legs. The slow river is something strange. There are no donuts left, and we barely managed to get one that was half-deflated, so we had to get used to it. Your entire trip to andamanda will be accompanied by the question: WHERE SHOULD I GO? You should study the park thoroughly on a map online and know exactly where you want to go, because otherwise you will only have 30-40 minutes to navigate the park. In the end, after spending 5 hours in the park, my wife and I agreed that the park deserved 2 out of 5 stars, and we do not recommend it to those who value their time and money, as well as to those who prefer a more personal experience and do not want to pay an additional 200 baht for a locker. This is where I say goodbye to you. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful vacation on the beautiful island of Phuket!
PS: Many thanks to the park staff (instructors and supervisors). There are no complaints about them, only respect...
Read moreDon’t bother bringing outside food or plastic bottles. They will take your food and store it (outside) all day. You can exit the park and eat outside but it’s a bit of a walk back to the entrance. They do this to reduce waste in the park. So highly recommended to bring your own refillable water bottle You’ll receive a band that will be used as a wallet and key for your locker if you choose to hire. We didn’t bring too much but we could only fit two peoples stuff per locker, they are quite small. Money can be loaded and topped up onto your band to pay for food and drinks during the day. Put money on at the start of the day to avoid you walking all the way back to the lockers. Any excess will be refunded to you at the end of your day or use it to purchase souvenirs. The food is expensive, so I would suggest to load at least 500baht per person. To cover food and drinks, snacks and dessert. You can also get an unlimited water refill pass. I spent $13 AUD on an ice cream. Yes I said it was way to expensive but when you’re pregnant.. you want something, you get it 😂 Some slides were closed unfortunately, unsure why. Most rides do have a wait of approx 30 mins but that’ll depend on the ride and day/time you go of course There wasn’t many floaty’s in the lazy river. Found that some people just had to float along or saw some people waiting a while for one and would pounce as soon as you got out of yours. A section of the lazy river was also closed off. Plenty of life guards The wave pool was cool but a lot of floaty’s at the deep end and it’s quite a long swim to get there and get one which is a quite annoying for those that aren’t able to collect one by the shallow end There are area’s to sunbathe and cabanas to rent. The cabanas were ridiculously expensive. The sunbathe chairs, were split from shade and sun but with the sun’s movement throughout the day you may not be in the sun/shade the whole time. A lot of people to just leave their stuff on the chairs and go off to the rides. It’s a bit unfair for those who just want to sit for a short period of time but if you can’t beat them - join them. So if you do not want to rent a locker, go straight to the wave pool area where the sand is and claim your chair. The rides don’t allow shoes so don’t bother wearing water shoes, just wear flip flops and leave them at the bottom of the ride. The ground is far too hot to be walking near foot and you want something easy to just slip your foot out of. Lots to ride on and places to eat Good for adults and children, not for pregnant people. Everything had a no pregnant sign on it Except the pool by the bar though I did go in the lazy river and wave pool 🤷🏻♀️ There’s a pool bar which was a cool thing to have a waterpark. You can relax in the pool or order...

Now a couple of items that detract from the place.
When you arrive, they do bag checks to confiscate any drinks, food or snacks you may have with you. This is obviously done so they can charge inflated prices for food and drink at their on-site stalls. The worst thing about this is their pathetic attempt to greenwash the confiscation of drinks, etc, by claiming they care about the environment. By stopping you taking your plastic drink (water in our case) bottles in, they claim they are reducing plastic waste. They don't provide free drinking water inside the venue. Instead, they sell big thick plastic drink cups for 399 Baht. These are then able to be refilled at various locations around the park. I'm not entirely sure how this reduces plastic waste, but they seem proud of this method of ripping everyone off. They do at least hold your contraband for collection at the end of your trip.
It's busy!! We went as a family for a day trip in the low season (End of July 2025) and it was packed. This meant the queues for the rides that are more interesting were generally around half an hour long, or up to an hour for the most popular ones. This queue time doesn't take into account the time spent waiting for available tubes or mats. This often added another 10 or 15 minutes to the official queue time. Some of the basic rides were reasonably fast to get through and the slow river ride is relatively easy to start but it can get busy.
I will say that all the rides were good fun. The main pool has a wave machine and this was okay for a couple of visits and has no queue.
Other items: They rent towels and lockers for 200 baht each, or as part of a more expensive inclusive ticket. Online booking was 200 Baht cheaper than in person, but didn't work when we attempted it.
The lockers are good and easy to use. Enough room for a couple of bags in each one.
All spending is done via the wristband you get issued at ticket counter. You load it up with money to spend in the park and can get a refund on unused funds when you leave at the end of the day. DON'T FORGET!
Most of the faster rides won't allow waterproof phone cases, sunglasses or hats. Best to leave them with someone or somewhere else before waiting in line and having the hassle of figuring it out when you've already reached the end of the queue.
It's easier to organise a pickup time with the taxi driver before being dropped off.
Hope this helps some people and...
