Place does look lovely after its refurbishment but I went for takeaway food and although its menu looks like fine-dining, modern, fusion style indian food I am afraid I experienced the same issue with previous visits to Bollywood (this is the 3rd chance I have given it as I wanted to see if it had improved and it is the only Indian curry house nearby). What has been signficiantly increased (and improved from an owners perspective rather than from a diners) is the prices. In most places a main of 200-220THB is at the upper end and as vegetarians we usually pay 160-ish for some basic dishes - dal or aloo gobi style dish - here is it is 220 for channa masala but everything else is closer to 300THB so a simple takeaway vegetarian meal for two - 2 starters, 3 veggie dishes, 2 nan breads (and a singha beer whilst I waited the 40 minutes for it to be prepared) came to 1445THB - compare this to curry places in Patong where delivery charges add 50 THB but the same meal is around 750THB. No reduction for takeaway, no reduction for picking up myself, no concession at all for not eating in the restaurant. But the worst issue is the taste still, the 3 curries all taste the same and there is nothing at all in the food to help you understand why you would be paying almost double what it costs in most places on the island. That is the last time I will be going back unless something...

We started with their famous Prawn Kouwada—each bite was a delightful blend of spices and tender prawn, perfectly complemented by their Punjabi samosas and roasted papad bread, served with a tangy tamarind sauce and a refreshingly spicy mint dip. Every appetizer was an explosion of flavors, making it hard to pick a favorite.
Moving on to the main course, the Butter Chicken was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced, while the Lamb Tikka Masala was a showstopper with its succulent, juicy pieces infused with aromatic spices. Both dishes were beautifully paired with fragrant yellow rice, which served as the ideal canvas to soak up the decadent sauces.
To end our meal, we indulged in the Royal Rice Kheer, a dessert that was a true treat for the senses. Creamy, mildly sweet, and infused with the flavors of cardamom and saffron, it was the perfect end to a perfect meal.
Bollywood Phuket has truly mastered the art of Indian cuisine, and it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic and vibrant...
Read moreI am very surprised to see this restaurant so highly rated by so many people. The restaurant was lovely inside but the food and service let it down.
I ordered a cocktail off happy hour with 10 minutes to spare until the happy hour ended and I was only bought 1 drink. After I asked for the second that I ordered on happy hour they were hesitant to bring the drink out.
We ordered a chicken tikka masala and a chicken rogan Josh and they were both very bland and tasteless. They both had a very watery consistency and they were inedible. Not very authentic like all of these other reviews say it is.
When it came to asking for the bill, ours got given to the wrong table with our change in it. Which is fine, an easy mistake. However, the waitress then came over to say that she had given us the wrong change and confused both orders. So we gave the change back, but she accused us of keeping 100baht when we gave her all the change back!!
Not a great experience overall and we were really...
