The key components that I rate hotels on are a/c, the shower, and wifi. This hotel I'd also like to add the bed and pillows, as they were perfect. In fact, I'll add the comforter to that grouping and the a/c and say that it was a perfect combination. At night, the room was cool enough that sleep was good, and the comforter had the perfect size to keep the body comfortable in a pleasantly cool room.
The wifi was really good, and YouTube and Netflix streamed without pauses. The shower lacked force, which was a disappointment, but it was hot.
Breakfast was good, and the eating area pleasant. The grounds are nice as is the building. I did rent a bike, and as I was alone, I was able to take my pick, and did get an OK one, but if you're a family of four, or a group someone will get stuck with a crappy bike. As a cyclist, the biggest problem with the bikes that worked was saddle position. On my bike ride I rode away from town on a 12 km loop, which took me to 7 temples all outside the old city walls. The ruins were nice, and I bumped into only two other tourists, and the...
Read moreLovely place to stay. we stayed in a family room which was very spacious. it was on the upper floor and had a lovely large balcony to relax on. The rooms are built on 2 sides of the resort with them looking over a central garden area. the resort has a pool to relax round. Rhe resort is normally tranquil with a lots of birds sounds Rhe only negative aspect of the resort was some of the staff. The issues are minor but they distract from the tranquility of the place One morning we had a breakfast staff member make and extremely loud telephone call on speaker phone which lasted over half an hour, in the middle of the restuarant. Secondly altough the cleaning staff do and excellent job, however they have a tendency to yell between room blocks. This only happens in the mornings and doesn't effect people checking out, but it is an issue if you stay several days Apart from the 2 minor issues, I very much enjoyed my stay and will happily...

The woman that received us- unsmiling - what is your name, that will be xxx bhat, and breakfast is at 8. Simply could not answer questions beyond that. ||||Bikes in poor condition and overpriced. ||||Wifi is….. not ||||Sukhothai was one of the gems of my trip to Thailand years ago. I don’t think I’ll come back here. At least not...
