Well, the Fairy Trail is certainly a fantastic achievement for the local adult volunteers and children who have made the walk so enjoyable and we are so glad we explored the path starting at the iron gate by the bridge. We are in our 60's and thoroughly enjoyed the magical warm and still summer evening walk along the riverbank. We just wish we had our grandchildren with us to experience the excitement it brought back to us. Talk about turning back the clock of time, it certainly worked for us as we were transported back to our childhood ! Looking high and low for the next fairy home hidden away in some secluded spot at ground level or in a hole in a tree many feet from the ground had my wife and I eagerly seeing who could spot the next. 😅 On the return journey we faced the wrath of the Pixies in the form of gnats and other biting insects but it was all part of the mystical experience. And not to be missed.........or so we told ourselves 🤔😅

Stumbled across this trail while visiting York when walking the dog. I had to return the day after with the kids and even though the age range was 8 to 14 they all loved finding the hidden fairy houses among the trees. Well done to the people who created this great for all.

Have watched this trail grow over the years, the community should be proud. What a lovely walk along the river for kids and adults alike. Picnic area now built and the pathways have been improved with bark and gravel. Well done to all those involved.

The Foss Fairy Trail is a lovely short walk along the river with beautiful fairy houses and artworks scattered along the way, making it a magical space. There is also a great picnic area for everyone to enjoy the magic.
